  • How Energetic Shedding + Processing Can Manifest As Physical Symptoms

In this episode, we chatting about the 'physical manifestation' of symptoms in a healing journey, the ways in which these can show up, and what they ultimately mean for you. I share all about my recent experience in processing some big energies, how this derailed the last few weeks for me- and what I learned.

We also take a deep dive into the top ways to support your body in this 'shedding' and 'releasing' process, and how you can move through it quicker, with more ease. In addition, I include an update on my personal life and our transition to a brand new country (Guatemala).

    Biggest Takeaways

    • Physical symptoms are your body's way of communicating with you. Nothing is wrong with you, there is just something coming up in your field of awareness to be released.
    • What you resist, ultimately persists. If you continue to ignore what is present, it will only continue to build and get worse.
    • How you support your body through this process of release matters, and one of the most important things to consider is how you speak about it.

  • Learning How To Be Present With Yourself? Here's How To Eliminate Fear and Feel Safe

In this episode, we are answering a question recently brought forward in my community about how to ease into being present with yourself, even when it feels scary to do so. We discuss exactly why this happens, and how it is normal to experience fear when doing something new and breaking old patterns.

We dive into a deep conversation on the ego (your subconscious mind's voice) and how it views change, your comfort zones, and it's own role. Finally, we also talk about how to ease into change for ultimate success, so that you can build new habits and create a new way of being.

    Biggest Takeaways

    • It is normal to experience fear when doing something new, because you haven't done it before and do not yet have the knowledge or skillset to perform it with ease.
    • Your ego's sole responsibility is to protect you, and it will do everything it can to keep you safe inside of your comfort zones.
    • If you want to go faster, go slow. Start small and build up, rather than diving in with both feet.

  • Discovering The Alchemy Within As The Secret To Health and Longevity with Dr. Nicholas Nelson

Today in our 'Friday's with Friends' feature we are chatting with Dr. Nicholas Nelson about his journey to becoming an established Chiropractor and Author, and his 'unorthodox' approach to health and wellbeing.

He shares his story of how his mother was let down by our western medicine system, and how this ultimately influenced his interest and pursuit of something better... and his decision to write a book that would forever change the health and mindset of many.

Here's A Little About Dr. Nelson + His Journey:

Dr. Nicholas Nelson graduated from his Doctorate program in Hayward, California with the academic distinction of Magna Cum Laude, as well as receiving the distinction of Clinical Honors on two separate occasions.

His undergraduate education took place in his home town of Edmonton, Alberta and consisted of an eclectic mix of anthropology, biology, philosophy, psychology, and neurology, with a personal interest in cross referencing religious theology with his scientific studies.

Dr. Nelson always embodied an attitude of thinking outside the box. He continued this pattern while attending university and graduate school by creating what he called a "parallel curriculum" which involved sampling literature from as many of the paradigm shifting sciences, such as quantum theory, string theory, holographic theory, and epigenetics, along with many diverse areas of interest such as the occult sciences, metaphysics, religion, spirituality, and esoteric knowledge, while simultaneously studying the hard sciences in his formal training in an effort to round out his studies and draw knowledge from every level of thinking he could.

Through this lens, Dr. Nelson considers the human body from many different levels and understands the uniqueness and complexity of the human experience. He decided to write Inner Alchemy because it was "the book I was looking for but couldn't find". After years of reading material in his varied areas of interest he came to the conclusion that a single book that brought them all together in an easy and accessible way had not yet been written, so it became his mission to do just that.

Inner Alchemy is a synthesis of over a decade of both formal education and the personal pursuit of trying to understand the human body, the human mind, the human soul, and our unique place in the cosmos. Dr. Nelson believes that this area of thought is still largely untapped and hopes his work will help lead many curious minds to walk the same path and further expand our collective knowledge of ourselves.

  • Rising Above Fear and Doing It Anyway

In this episode, we are chatting all about the manifestation of fear, and how it can often hold us back in so many different ways in life. I share a story in regards to a personal experience from this week, where I temporarily allowed fear to consume me- and ultimately wasted hours of my time.

We chat about how 'not doing the thing' out of fear is harder than just doing it (no matter how scary it might seem), and discuss examples of how fear might have impacted your life so far. Finally, we discuss how to overcome it and rise above, having courage as you go after what you want in life.

    Biggest Takeaways

    • Fear can manifest in unexpected ways, and the energy expended in trying to avoid fear often exceeds that of actually facing it.
    • Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act despite it.
    • Reflecting on past experiences can reveal patterns of fear-based decisions, and help to cultivate awareness around what you can do differently in the future.

  • Are You Sprinkling Glitter On Sh*t?

In this episode, we are chatting all about the concept of toxic positivity, and how this can keep you stuck, preventing you from getting the results that you actually desire. We dive into the 'false' image that can be created online in the social media space, and why it's important to not believe everything that you see.

We also discuss the concept of healing in relation to this, and how the 'journey' is where the real magic happens- not just at the 'destination'. This is because our healing never stops, we just get better at moving through the challenges life brings our way instead.

    Biggest Takeaways

    • Pretending that you are okay or everything is 'fine' when it isn't (aka ignoring your emotions) is the equivellant of sprinkling glitter on shit and pretending it doesn't stink.
    • Many coaches believe that in order to be an expert in the online space, you need to portray an image of perfection where life is always grand and things always work out- but this is BS.
    • Choose to be the first domino to fall. When you consistently seek out opportunities to grow, build your character and have a breakthrough, the closer you get to achieving the results you desire.

  • Feeling Anxious or Overwhelmed? Here's How To Shift That In Just A Few Minutes

In this episode, we are chatting about what to do when the emotions of overwhelm or anxiety come up, and how to manage them effectively. We discuss how these emotions if left 'unchecked' can derail your day and halt your progress if you aren't careful, and ways to combat this directly head-on.

I share my personal experiences and insights on recognizing emotional triggers, understanding the 'WHY' behind what you're experiencing, and ways to use questions, tools and self-awareness to process and release those feelings.

    Biggest Takeaways

    • When unexpected emotions come up, you have two choices... allow it to consume you, or drop into it and take control.
    • Taking control of your emotions does not mean ignoring them or stuffing them down, rather about embracing, understanding and expressing them fully.
    • Blaming external factors for how you are feeling is giving your power away.
    • What regulation tools work the best is person specific; learn to experiment and play to discover what feels the best to you.
