Season 2 of the Golf Beneath the Surface Podcast kicks off with Auburn Women’s Coach Melissa Luellen. Melissa is currently in her ninth season at the University of Auburn and her 24th season of coaching at the Division 1 level (Arizona State and Tulsa). She’s had incredible success in the game of golf at both the playing and coaching levels. 

Melissa grew up in a golfing family, having played for her mom at the University of Tulsa. There she won both the individual championship and helped her team win the team championship in 1988. She then turned pro, winning once on the  the LPGA Tour. 

Not many people boast the kind of impressive and unique resume that Coach Luellen does. Listen in as she talks about her journey through the game, the successes/struggles, playing for her mom, how the game has changed over the years, the recruiting process, how she coaches her players and much more!

Widely regarded as Europe’s leading golf performance coach, Karl takes us on his journey from unsuccessfully trying to build the perfect golf swing to helping his players win at the highest levels. This week the boys sat down with E.J. Pfister. E.J. is the Director of Instruction at both the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club and Oak Tree National. He's been voted one of the top 100 instructors in the country by GOLF magazine and the #1 instructor in the state of Oklahoma by Golf Digest. E.J. has also played this game at a very high level,  having playing professionally for 12+ years, he also won the NCAA individual championship at Oklahoma State in 1988 and helped his team win a team championship the year prior. 

E.J. brings a unique perspective to the podcast having both played and taught at the highest of levels. He has worked with a who's who of players and coaches and his curiosity continues to lead him to learn as much as he can to help his students get better.
