This week is BIG for Good One -- we've booked our first drag queen! And not just any drag queen, but the Queen of Queens, the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: All Winners, Jinkx Monsoon! Jinx's first Drag Race victory came in season five in 2013. Nine years later Jinkx reclaimed the victory, thanks in part to her uncanny impressions. In addition to her stints in Drag Race, Jinkx also hosts podcast Hi Jinkx! and has a new sketch show on the WOW network premiering in September: Sketchy Queens.

This week, we've got a rerun with recent Saturday Night Live alumn Aidy Bryant! In addition to Aidy being a highlight of the show since she joined in 2012, she also starred in and executive produced the Hulu series Shrill, a show that is “about a fat young woman who wants to change her life — but not her body.”

In this Good One episode, Jesse talks to Aidy about her SNL sketch “Overnight Salad,” a digital short that aired in the last episode before quarantine shut down in-studio production. As Aidy discusses in the interview, it’s a sketch that she might not have felt comfortable pitching or writing much earlier in her career. Similarly, Shrill feels like a creative milestone in Aidy’s career, with characters and humor that feel more authentically Aidy.

You can watch episodes of Shrill on Hulu. Episodes of Saturday Night Live are available on Hulu or the NBC app, and you can catch clips on YouTube. You can follow Aidy on Instagram. Follow Jesse David Fox on Twitter and Instagram.

This week, Good One is graced with Saturday Night Live royalty: Kate McKinnon! Famous for her kooky characters and spot on impressions, Kate recently said goodbye to SNL after 11 memorable seasons. She joined host Jesse David Fox to talk about her incredible run; together they go over her repertoire of characters (including a deep dive on the Close Encounters sketches' Colleen Rafferty), Kate tells a silly story about sharing an office with Aidy Bryant, and she tells us what it was like break the news of her exit to SNL creator Lorne Michaels. We laughed, we cried, and we think you will, too.

This week on Good One, host Jesse David Fox welcomes back standup Nikki Glaser for the third time! Nikki's new special, Good Clean Filth drops this week on HBO Max, and it was only fitting to bring a sneak preview of the long awaited hour to the show. While Jesse and Nikki have previously spent their time together talking about Glaser's incredible roast performances, this week is all about her stand up. The pair discuss how the things Nikki fears are actually what drives her, her obsession with the twisted dark world of pedophilia (it's not unlike the current obsession with murder content!), and just how long and difficult it was for her to edit this special. Plus, if you stick around til the end, you can find out what roast jokes Jesse actually wrote for Nikki!
