Mike Jolie's journey to Western States 100 is different than most Canadians. He started running when his company transferred him to New Zealand, a mecca for trail running and endurance sports.  

After crewing a friend at Tarawera Ultra in 2018, he decided to start earning his own tickets to WS100.

We chat with Mike about his three ticket races earned in three different countries.
