"When I first came to mindfulness and meditation, I thought it was you had to sit with a very quiet mind, you couldn't have any thoughts. And I was thinking, how is this going to happen? And I've learned over time that it's really just allowing the thoughts to move back and forth, recognizing that they're there, I almost kind of wave at them and say, oh, hey, how are you?"
