There are thousands of God’s promises in the 66 books of the Bible. Some of those promises are specifically for us and others are promises He made, like the one to Abram and Sarai. Even though she was 90 years old, God fulfilled his promise and opened Sarah’s womb and she conceived Isaac. When we take the time to study and then claim those promises suitable to our current situation we can have peace, comfort, love, joy, and a multitude of blessings. Like today’s promise in, Galatians 6:9. It reads, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

What did Jesus mean when He said, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2)? Where was He going and why did He have to go?

In context, Before Jesus announces His plan to “go to prepare a place for you,” He explains to the disciples that their hearts shouldn’t be troubled and that they should believe in Him (John 14:1). When Jesus left, He wouldn’t be leaving them for no purpose because He had a plan… but they were disturbed that they wouldn’t be able to be with Him, so He comforts them by explaining how one day they would be with Him, again.
