One of the things I talked about at the seminar is the importance of your community and who you surround yourself with.  This is one of the top two or three biggest factors that will determine whether you succeed or fail in this business.

In today’s episode, I share with you how to start your own mastermind group, as well as a few things to watch out for if you’re joining one run by someone else.  I’m not exaggerating when I say that 50% of your time and effort should be spent building your community—creating and strengthening relationships with the people who can help you succeed.  A mastermind group is one of the best ways to do this.

• A quick recap of how my team is doing buying houses.  I thought we were finally going to have a slow week, but I ended up being very wrong!
• Often when you want to add something, you have to take something away—we need to focus more on project management now, and we have so many houses in the pipeline that we’ve stopped a lot of our marketing.
• Find the people who are doing deals and having success, and model what they’re doing.
• You can’t be the machine; you have to build the machine.  You need to work on your business, not just in your business.  Build the system, build your team, and build your community.
• The best way to be successful in anything, or any business, is to surround yourself with people who have the same focus and goals as you, and who have been there before.  A mastermind group or community can literally change your business and your life.
• Day to day action and feedback is more important than going to seminars and other events.
