  • The Unsolved to Resolved: Jacob Wetterling's Heart-Wrenching Tale and His Mother's Quest for Justice
In a quaint town in Minnesota, the fall of 1989 witnessed a harrowing event that would shape the course of child safety regulations in the U.S. for decades to come. The unsolved disappearance and eventual tragic murder of 11-year-old Jacob Wetterling sent shockwaves across the nation, inspiring a movement for child safety and law reformation.

On that fateful evening of October 22, while Jacob was cycling home from a local convenience store in St. Joseph, Minnesota, with his brother Trevor and friend Aaron Larson, their innocent journey was cruelly interrupted. A masked man wielding a revolver forced the boys into a ditch. As Larson later recollected to ABC News, the harrowing incident felt surreal at first, "It became real pretty quick."

After seizing Jacob and threatening the remaining two with dire consequences, the abductor vanished. Despite the tireless efforts of the community, the FBI, and local police in the subsequent days, Jacob remained missing. His innocent face, symbolizing every family's worst nightmare, became a national call for action, appearing everywhere from milk cartons to highway billboards.

Years later, in 2014, a ray of hope appeared. Re-examining of the Wetterling case by the FBI's Child Abduction Rapid Deployment team brought Danny Heinrich, a resident of Paynesville, into the spotlight. Although initially a name of interest shortly after Jacob's disappearance, he was never formally linked to the crime.

However, with the advent of advanced DNA technology, investigators connected Heinrich to the clothes of Jared Scheierl, another boy victim from the same period. This discovery, while bringing Heinrich back to the investigators' radar, couldn't lead to his arrest due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. But fortune had other plans. Following a search warrant in 2015, Heinrich was arrested on child pornography charges, setting in motion a series of events that would finally bring closure to Jacob’s case.

As a part of a plea deal in 2016, Heinrich confessed to Jacob's abduction and subsequent murder, detailing the events of that October night. He recalled Jacob's heartbreaking question, "What did I do wrong?", before the heinous acts that followed. Through this confession, Jacob's remains were discovered, ending the 27-year-long search for him.

The pain and sorrow experienced by Jacob's family, especially his parents Patty and Jerry Wetterling, were unimaginable. Yet, rather than succumb to despair, they transformed their grief into a driving force for change. A year after their son's disappearance, they launched the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center. As stated on their website, its mission is to educate the public about child abduction and its prevention.

Furthermore, their advocacy efforts bore fruit with the inception of the 'Wetterling Act', mandating the establishment of sex offender registries across all states. Patty Wetterling's relentless determination was summed up by her husband Jerry in an interview with ABC News: "Jacob spurred Patty into being a bulldog for keeping kids safe."

The chronicle of this heart-wrenching journey, however, does not end here. Thirty-four years post the tragic incident, Patty Wetterling is about to release her book, titled "Dear Jacob: A Mother's Journey of Hope." As noted by co-author Joy Baker to the Star-Tribune, Patty's story is unparalleled. Not only did she endure the pain of a lost child but also transformed her anguish into a nationwide movement, changing laws and capturing the attention of the highest echelons of power.

Set to be published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press on October 17, the book promises to be an inspirational testament to a mother's love, hope, and unwavering resolve.

The tale of Jacob Wetterling stands as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life. But, more importantly, it highlights the indomitable spirit of a mother and a community that chose action over despair, leaving an enduring legacy in the realm of child safety.

  • Reality TV Ambition Turns Deadly: The Delaney Park Murder Investigation
In the picturesque Orlando neighborhood of Delaney Park, a tale of passion for property took a heart-wrenching turn. David Tronnes, a 55-year-old Florida man, currently stands trial for the murder of his wife, 39-year-old Shanti Cooper-Tronnes. The backdrop of this tragic story is a 4,000-square-foot house, a pool, and an intense ambition to feature on the reality TV show "Zombie House Flipping."

David had pinned his hopes on this reality TV endeavor to transform the financial trajectory of a home that had devoured much more than its share of resources. Prosecutor Michael Smith articulated that David saw the show as a “lifeline,” believing it would surge the value of their house by tens of thousands.

However, the heart of the tragedy lies in the alleged motive behind Shanti’s death. David's vision for the home, a dream that he believed would save them, was met with skepticism by his wife. This rift culminated a week after a critical meeting with Keith Ori, a contractor from "Zombie House Flipping." Shanti walked out, seemingly dismissive of David's grand plans. For David, her non-participation was a deal-breaker, and prosecutors contend that it led to her untimely death.

Ryan Vescio, who spearheaded the investigation into Shanti’s death, commented to "48 Hours," “This house became more than just a project to David Tronnes. It was his life.” A sentiment further supported by the fact that while David was engrossed in the house's renovation, it was Shanti who was bankrolling the effort, pouring nearly $250,000 of her own money into it.

Adding another layer of complexity to their dynamic, Shanti was identified as the “sole breadwinner” by Prosecutor Smith. A financial and accounting consultant by profession, she shared custody of her 8-year-old son from a previous marriage. Due to the ongoing home renovations, she and her son had been relegated to living in a garage apartment, sharing a bunk bed. Meanwhile, David resided in another section of the house with their dogs.

Keith Ori, the reality TV contractor, provided insight into the extent of David's renovations, saying, “They took away all the interior dividing walls and basically what was left was a two-story shell.” Ori's statement paints a picture of a house gutted to its bones, mirroring the fractured relationship between David and Shanti.

Authorities pointed out that deception formed a significant aspect of David's persona. Cooper-Tronnes’ stepfather, in a statement to WFTV, disclosed that David had misled them about his financial standing. “He always claimed he had millions, but Shanti bought everything,” he revealed.

It wasn't just financial deceit that David was engaged in. Authorities unveiled that he frequented a gay spa, indicating a concealed part of his life. The spa visits continued both after their wedding and shortly before Shanti’s death.

David and Shanti's romance began online, a beacon of hope for two souls searching for connection. David, then residing in Minnesota, eventually relocated to Florida, marking the beginning of their life together. But the relationship’s dark undercurrents soon surfaced. The focus shifted from love to the grandeur of a house that David was so "obsessed" with, culminating in the tragic demise of Shanti.

Questions emerged from the onset when first responders were summoned to the scene. Tronnes’ claim, stating that his wife had accidentally “passed out” in the bathtub, quickly came under scrutiny. Cooper-Tronnes’ injuries painted a starkly different narrative. Smith highlighted the evident “violent attack” she had suffered, with injuries including “a huge wound” on her face and “bruising around her neck.”

The trial, undoubtedly, is set to be emotionally charged and challenging. Interestingly, defense attorneys have chosen to defer their opening statement. Initial assessments ruled David incompetent for trial due to manifestations of schizophrenia. However, post-treatment at a state hospital, he was declared competent in May 2022, paving the way for the trial to proceed.

The case encapsulates more than just a tragic death; it serves as a window into the complexities of human relationships, the shadows of deceit, and the blinding allure of ambition.

  • "Soldiers of Christ" Religious Group Members, Including Mother, Charged in Connection with Georgia Murder
A harrowing discovery in Georgia has exposed disturbing actions associated with the religious group, "Soldiers of Christ." Mihee Lee, 54, along with multiple members of the group, including her children, now face charges linked to the death of 33-year-old Sehee Cho.

On September 12, a grim find was made in Duluth – Cho’s lifeless body lay in the trunk of a car parked outside a South Korean spa. According to the Gwinnett Police Department, the victim had endured weeks of beatings and severe malnourishment. The nature of her prolonged suffering sends chills down the spine of any compassionate observer.

Mihee Lee is facing multiple charges including felony murder, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, and more. Her children, Joonho Lee, 26, Juoonhyum Lee, 22, and Junyeong Lee, 15, have been apprehended on similar charges. Three other members - Hyunji Lee, 25, Eric Hyun, 26, and Lee family relative Gawom Lee, 26 - were arrested last month in connection with this crime.

However, a shocking twist was unveiled when Eric Hyun’s attorney disclosed that both his client and the deceased, Sehee Cho, were also victims of the very group they were a part of. David Boyle, representing Hyun, alleged that both were brutally tortured in the basement of the Lee residence, disguised as a religious initiation rite for their church.

The details of their ordeal are nothing short of horrifying. Eric Hyun was allegedly subjected to heinous acts, including being belted across his face and genitals, stripped, shot multiple times with an airsoft gun, and had skin sanded off his chest. These were acts meant to "indoctrinate him into their religious extremism," according to the statement. Financial coercion was also applied, with tens of thousands of dollars reportedly sent to Korea and credit cards maxed out.

Sehee Cho, who had relocated from South Korea to Atlanta to become part of the Soldiers of Christ, was found weighing just around 70 lbs. The Gwinnett Police, in their press release, expressed their belief that malnourishment played a role in her tragic demise.

Gwinnett Police Sgt. Michele Pihera, in a conversation with PEOPLE, left the door open to more charges, saying, "If any additional probable cause presents itself, more charges could be forthcoming."

After Cho's body was discovered, an investigation led the authorities to a house in Lawrenceville, GA. It is in this house's basement where they suspect the gruesome crime unfolded. The case unraveled when Eric Hyun, allegedly, drove the car containing Cho’s body to the Jeju Sauna, left it parked, and later had a family member discover the body when retrieving a personal item.

According to Fox5, among the arrested, Joonho Lee, is an Emory University student. While he remains in custody without bond, Eric Hyun has been granted one. The others, Juoonhyum Lee, Gawom Lee, and Hyunji Lee, still remain detained.

This case unveils the dark underside of religious fanaticism, painting a grim picture of how beliefs can be distorted to justify heinous actions. As the investigation continues, many await the full revelations and justice for Sehee Cho.

  • Oklahoma Judge Faces Removal Over Derisive Texts During Murder Trial
In a shocking revelation, Oklahoma's Lincoln County District Judge Traci Soderstrom is under intense scrutiny after allegedly sending over 500 text messages filled with mockery and bias during a pivotal murder trial she presided over in June.

According to a petition filed on Tuesday, these controversial texts were exchanged with a bailiff, in which Judge Soderstrom openly mocked trial participants, including attorneys, jurors, and witnesses. The exchanges displayed a palpable bias against state prosecutors while showing a clear inclination toward the defendant. She was also cited complimenting the defense attorney on numerous occasions.

The allegations came to light following a thorough investigation into Judge Soderstrom's phone usage by the Council on Judicial Complaints. While Soderstrom's attorney has yet to provide a comment to major news outlets, including CNN, the details within the petition raise significant concerns about the impartiality of the judicial process in this particular trial.

Presiding over a first-degree murder trial, Soderstrom saw the defendant being pronounced guilty of a lesser charge - second-degree manslaughter. The verdict led to a sentence of four years, equivalent to the time the defendant already served, ensuring no further jail time. Conversely, a co-defendant in the case, charged with enabling child abuse, received a harsher 25-year prison sentence after accepting a plea deal.

Several texts have been highlighted to emphasize the alleged misconduct. In one exchange, Soderstrom remarked about the district attorney "sweating through his coat." In another text, she oddly inquired about the prosecutor's hand size, questioning, "Why does he have baby hands? … They are so weird looking," as noted by Chief Justice M. John Kane IV.

Her apparent admiration for the defense attorney also shone through in her messages. "She's awesome," she texted the bailiff during one of the defense attorney's addresses to the jury, even considering aloud (or rather, in text) whether she could clap for her.

Among the myriad of messages, other comments ranged from calling a police officer "pretty" to declaring a video as "boring" and even speculating on a juror's possible wig. One particularly alarming message hinted at her preconceived notions about the trial's outcome. She stated there would be "no way they get guilty on murder" because of a perceived lack of DNA evidence.

Following the trial's conclusion, the district attorney's office was alerted by a sheriff's deputy about Soderstrom's continuous phone usage. The evidence was irrefutable: a 51-minute video clip from a courtroom camera showcased her extensive phone engagement.

The Council on Judicial Complaints, after an in-person hearing with Judge Soderstrom, deemed her texts as severe breaches of the code of judicial conduct. When confronted about her phone usage during the trial, Soderstrom merely remarked that she was "texting about things that were – probably could have waited," brushing off the gravity of her actions by saying, "(I)t was like, 'Oh, that’s funny. Move on.'"

It wasn't just these text messages that have put her in hot water. The petition also highlighted several other instances of Soderstrom's inappropriate behavior both inside the courtroom and on her social media platforms. One notable instance was during her hearing where she reportedly used profanities three times within the initial six minutes of her testimony.

The case against Judge Traci Soderstrom is now slated for January 3, 2024. She had assumed her role on the bench in the 23rd Judicial District of Oklahoma just earlier this year, in January 2023.

With the integrity of the justice system hanging in the balance, the forthcoming trial will be closely watched by legal experts and the public alike.

  • Federal Prosecutors Decline Request to Seize Alex Murdaugh's Assets Amid Controversy
    · Convicted killer Alex Murdaugh's attorneys have asked federal prosecutors to assume control of his assets from co-receivers appointed by a state judge.

    · Federal prosecutors responded, clarifying they have no intention to seize the assets in the state court Receivership currently.

    · The state of South Carolina claimed jurisdiction over Murdaugh's assets before the federal government, limiting federal intervention.

    · Murdaugh’s assets were put under receivership on Nov. 4, 2021, assigning John T. Lay and Peter M. McCoy as co-receivers.

    · Murdaugh's attorneys claim that the receivers have taken control of $2.1 million of his assets and paid out significant amounts to the co-receivers.

    · The prosecutors highlighted that the fees charged by the co-receivers were at a "significant discount" and were approved by a state court judge.

    · The federal government is authorized to seize up to $9 million for its forfeiture judgment but isn't mandated to do so, and Murdaugh can't force them.

    Full Story:

In the latest turn of events surrounding convicted killer Alex Murdaugh, federal prosecutors made it clear on Wednesday that they would not be intervening to take control of Murdaugh’s assets. This response came after Murdaugh's attorneys made an urgent plea to the government, asking it to oversee his assets currently under the charge of co-receivers appointed by a South Carolina state judge.

According to the documents filed in district court, while the government has the authority, through a preliminary order of forfeiture, to seize the assets, they have no current intention to do so. This decision arises due to a legal nuance: the state of South Carolina has already staked its claim over the assets, asserting jurisdiction and therefore hindering federal interference.

The backdrop to this complex financial entanglement dates back to November 4, 2021. In an effort to thwart any potential mismanagement, concealment, or sale, Murdaugh’s assets were placed in a protective receivership. Assigned to this critical responsibility were John T. Lay and Peter M. McCoy as co-receivers.

Murdaugh's defense team has since voiced significant concerns about this arrangement. They argue that an alarming $2.1 million of his assets have been taken over by the co-receivers. Of this amount, they claim $400,000 has already been disbursed to Lay and McCoy, with an additional $253,294 now in the pipeline for release. In court documents, the defense passionately states that such financial maneuvers put "the Murdaugh Funds at risk of substantial dissipation and waste."

Federal prosecutors, in their detailed response, provided a contrasting viewpoint. They emphasized that the charges levied by the co-receivers come at a "significant discount" when juxtaposed against standard fees in such cases. Furthermore, these fees, they stressed, have been greenlighted by the state court circuit judge, with no objections raised by Murdaugh or other potential stakeholders.

Addressing the broader financial framework, prosecutors shared that the government holds the authority to seize an impressive $9 million to meet its forfeiture judgment. However, they clarified that there's no obligation to exercise this right. The court documents succinctly state, "Murdaugh cannot force the Government to seize any assets, particularly assets over which he has either relinquished or been divested of control."

A crucial distinction was made regarding the role of federal and state authorities in managing these assets. The defense's assertion that the government would effectively mirror the actions of the co-receivers was debunked by prosecutors. They elaborated that while the federal system considers some victims as financially "whole", a takeover of the assets from the state could potentially deprive some state victims – those not encompassed within federal crimes – of the opportunity to recover their dues.

This multifaceted financial dispute adds another layer to the ongoing saga of Alex Murdaugh, shining a light on the intricate intersection of state and federal jurisdictions, and raising poignant questions about the guardianship of assets and the rights of victims. As developments unfold, the nation watches closely, waiting to see how justice will be meted out in this high-stakes financial and legal drama.

  • Kouri Richins Asks Judge To Dismiss Case
Petition for Dismissal: Kouri Richins' legal team has filed a petition seeking the dismissal of her case, citing possible "prosecutorial misconduct" and questioning her ability to receive a fair trial in Summit County.

Change of Venue & Legal Team: The attorneys have requested that the case be transferred from Summit County to Salt Lake County. Additionally, they advocate for the removal of the Summit County Attorney’s Office from the proceedings.

The "Walk the Dog Letter": A contentious document, discovered in Richins’ cell in September, is at the heart of the current legal debate. State lawyers view this as evidence of witness tampering. Conversely, Richins and her attorneys claim it is an outline for a fictional novel she planned to write.

Potential "No Contact Order": Due to the implications of the letter, the court is weighing the option of imposing an order that would prevent Richins from communicating with her family. This decision is set for November.

Violation of the Gag Order: The legal team argues that making the "Walk the Dog Letter" public breaches a gag order set on May 31 by the court.

Questions of Legal Integrity: Richins' attorneys assert that the letter doesn’t serve as evidence of a crime and challenge the state’s method of obtaining the letter, suggesting it could be seen as an unlawful search of her papers.

State's Claims Challenged: The petition emphasizes the alleged breach of Richins’ due process rights by the State. It states that the State has not only falsely accused her of witness tampering but has also supported this claim with what the defense deems "inadmissible evidence" on public records.

In a developing story out of Summit County, the legal team of Kouri Richins, who stands accused of a chilling case of poisoning her husband using fentanyl, has now made a bold move, seeking the dismissal of her case. Their argument is rooted in the belief that their client, Richins, can no longer obtain a fair trial due to what they cite as "prosecutorial misconduct."

In a detailed petition, the attorneys highlighted several significant requests. Chief among them are the removal of the Summit County Attorney’s Office from the proceedings and a change of venue, transferring the case to Salt Lake County.

Perhaps the most controversial aspect revolves around the document discovered in Richins' cell in September, colloquially dubbed the "Walk the Dog Letter." The discovery of this document set the courtroom abuzz with debate. State lawyers argue that the letter is clear evidence pointing to witness tampering. In stark contrast, Richins, backed by her legal team, contends that this letter was merely an outline for a work of fiction she intended to pen.

The document allegedly contains explicit instructions directed towards Richins' family members, guiding them on how they should testify in court. This very discovery is the underlying reason the court is now contemplating imposing a “no contact order” to curtail Richins' interactions with her family. The court is set to make its decision on this matter in November.

Diving into the petition, Richins' attorneys assert that the public unveiling of the “Walk the Dog Letter” stands in direct violation of a gag order, which had been imposed by the court on May 31. In their view, not only is the letter itself not indicative of any criminal activity, but its acquisition by the state might also be regarded as an illegal intrusion into her documents.

The petition fervently states: “Here, the State has violated Ms. Richins’ due process rights by falsely and publicly declaring that she is guilty of ‘witness tampering.’” Further escalating the claims, the document goes on to criticize the state's actions, “Making matters worse, the State attempted to support its false narrative by filing inadmissible evidence, including a police report, on the Court’s public docket.”

The implications of these developments cannot be overstated. A case that started with the tragic and suspicious death of a man due to fentanyl poisoning has now burgeoned into a heated legal battle, with accusations of witness tampering, potential violations of gag orders, and questions about the due process rights of the accused.

It remains to be seen how the court will respond to these requests and whether the Summit County Attorney's Office will remain on the case. The coming weeks promise intense legal proceedings, with both sides likely to dig in and present fervent arguments to defend their positions. The spotlight on the case ensures that its developments will be keenly followed, not just by the local community but by legal experts and the public at large.

In a case riddled with intrigue, doubt, and layers of complexities, one thing remains clear: the pursuit of truth and justice is paramount. As legal experts comb through every facet of evidence and argument, the broader public is left to reflect on the complexities of the legal system and the pivotal role it plays in shaping narratives and defining the truth.

  • Dad Gets 25 Years For Running Over Wife and Stabbing Her in Front of Kids
In a harrowing case that has shaken the city to its core, a New York man, Stephen Giraldo, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the heinous attempted murder of his estranged wife, Sophia Giraldo. This conviction comes a month after he entered a guilty plea in September. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz’s office provided the details in a press statement released this past Friday.

     The Heart-Wrenching Incident

The chilling incident occurred during the early morning hours of December 27, 2022. Security camera footage captured Stephen Giraldo outside the residence of Sophia. The events that unfolded were nothing short of nightmarish.

As the 41-year-old Sophia made her way in front of the vehicle, Stephen allegedly turned to their three children inside the car—aged 11, 9, and 6 at the time—and chillingly advised them to "keep your seat belt on," as previously reported by PEOPLE. He then deliberately ran over his wife.

The horror did not end there. As the statement from the DA's office narrated, "After colliding with the victim, the car turned onto its side. The defendant allegedly crawled out the passenger side window of the vehicle and continued his attack, stabbing his wife with a knife."

Sophia, though having miraculously survived the brutal onslaught, was left with catastrophic injuries. She has remained unconscious for the ten months since the attack, suffering from severe neurological damage, a punctured liver, and multiple broken bones. Their children, the traumatized witnesses to this brutality, were fortunately physically unharmed.

     The Prosecution's Stand

Reflecting on the grievousness of the case, DA Katz asserted, “This is one of the most brutal cases we have prosecuted.” She further commented on the unimaginable nature of the crime, stating, “To tell your children to ‘buckle up,’ purposefully hit their mother, and then climb over your son to continue your attack with a knife is unconscionable.” With the sentencing of Stephen Giraldo, Katz expressed hope that it brings “some measure of justice.”

Community Support and A Ray of Hope

In the wake of such a horrifying event, the community has rallied together in support of Sophia and her family. A GoFundMe campaign initiated shortly after the attack, by Sophia's father Chuck Brooks, has amassed over $50,000 in donations. In a heartfelt note on the fundraiser page, Chuck termed the incident and the ensuing journey as a "whirlwind of a tragedy." He went on to thank the generous donors and supporters who have been pillars of strength during such tumultuous times.

The funds raised have been instrumental in aiding Sophia's family, who have traveled from Maryland to New York. The money has substantially assisted in offsetting the significant costs associated with their frequent and taxing visits, as elucidated in detail on the GoFundMe page.

Coincidentally, the sentencing took place a day before what should have been a day of celebration—Sophia's birthday on Saturday, as shared in a poignant social media post by her mother, Deborah Brooks.

     Conclusion

Stephen Giraldo's sentencing is a sobering reminder of the dark corners of human behavior. While the judicial verdict has been rendered, the healing journey for Sophia and her children remains long and fraught with challenges. It's a hope that, with the continued support of the community and the strength of the human spirit, the family finds the resilience to rebuild their lives.

  • Cold Case Breakthrough: Robert Stewart Accused of Two-Decade-Old Murder
After 20 years, the quest for justice may finally be nearing its end for the family of Herman Brown. Robert Stewart, a 64-year-old man, has been indicted for a murder that has remained unsolved for two decades.

     The Scene of the Crime

On a chilly day on February 15, 2003, a distressing call came into the Cincinnati Police Department. A concerned 911 caller reported a "strong odor coming from the apartment" located at 2572 Sarvis Court. Responding to the call, officers embarked on what was expected to be a routine welfare check. However, the scene they encountered was anything but ordinary.

Inside the apartment, they found the lifeless body of Herman Brown "lying naked on the floor." The grim setting was accentuated by the presence of stab wounds on Brown's body and an extension cord that was tightly wound around his neck. Further investigations revealed the presence of blood in the bathroom sink, indicating a struggle or an attempt to clean up after the crime.

     Vital Evidence Left Behind

At the time of discovery, the Prosecutor’s Office revealed that the investigators had collected a number of key evidence from the crime scene. Among these were six cigarette butts, a DNA swab from Brown's genitals, and the aforementioned blood sample from the bathroom sink.

An analysis of the blood sample showed the presence of two distinct DNA profiles. One was, understandably, from the victim. But the second one, which also matched the DNA found on Brown's genitals and the cigarette butts, belonged to an unidentified individual.

Despite the presence of such clear evidence, the investigators were faced with a daunting challenge. They couldn't match the unidentified DNA profile to any known individual in their database. As the days turned into months and months into years, the leads dried up. The case, like so many before it, went cold.

     A Renewed Hope

But as Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers confidently remarked, "These dedicated detectives never give up on their cases. They never give up on their victims. They will continue to investigate until the case is solved — no matter how long it takes." Her words rang true when, two decades later, a glimmer of hope emerged.

Making use of advances in forensic science, investigators decided to revisit the case. They re-extracted the unidentified DNA profile, this time from the cigarette butts. Submitting this to a forensic genetic genealogy search, a process which has revolutionized cold case investigations in recent years, they identified a potential suspect: Robert Stewart.

Further detailed analysis sealed the deal, verifying beyond a doubt that Stewart was the source of the DNA found scattered at the crime scene.

     The Arrest

Upon identifying Stewart as a prime suspect, the police acted swiftly. Stewart was apprehended in Lima, Ohio, on September 15. After the arrest, he was promptly extradited back to Hamilton County, where he now awaits his fate in the Hamilton County Justice Center. A bond has been set at a staggering $500,000.

As for the charges, the Oct. 2 news release from Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers elucidated that Stewart has been indicted on two counts of murder and an additional count of felonious assault in connection with Herman Brown’s death. If found guilty, he may potentially face a life sentence.

     In Conclusion

The tragic death of Herman Brown and the subsequent twenty-year-long pursuit of justice is a testament to the perseverance of our law enforcement agencies. While it's still early days in the legal proceedings against Robert Stewart, one thing is clear: detectives and forensic experts, armed with determination and the latest in scientific advancements, have brought hope to a case that once seemed lost in the annals of time.

The developments in this case serve as a beacon of hope for countless other unsolved cases, reminding us that justice, no matter how delayed, can still be attained.

  • Dentist James Craig, Who Googled "How to Make Poison" Pleads Not Guilty To Wife's Murder
James Toliver Craig, the Colorado dentist at the center of a sensational poisoning case, entered a not-guilty plea on Monday, facing charges of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. Authorities have been investigating the case since March, when Angela Craig, James' wife, died under mysterious circumstances.

According to the Aurora Police Department, Angela Craig, 43, passed away on March 15 after multiple hospitalizations due to severe headaches and dizziness. The narrative that unfolded in the subsequent months has brought a sense of disbelief to many familiar with the case. James Craig is accused of poisoning his wife's protein shakes with arsenic, which he allegedly ordered online.

CNN, along with other major news outlets, has been closely monitoring the developments in the case. The trial is set for April 19, 2024, and preparations are already underway with plans for a special panel for jury selection. Testimony is expected to commence the subsequent week. Efforts to reach James Craig's attorney, Andrew Ho, for comments were to no avail as of the time of this report.

But what has driven attention to this case is not just the tragic demise of Angela Craig but the details unveiled in the investigations. An arrest warrant application released in March paints a chilling picture: it alleges that James Craig exhibited planning and intent to end his wife's life. The reasons cited include searching for methods to carry out the crime discreetly, giving her poisons which aligned with her symptoms during her hospital stays, and reportedly looking forward to starting a new life with another woman.

In a disturbing revelation from the affidavit, in the weeks leading to Angela's death, James Craig is believed to have used a computer at his dental practice to research various "undetectable poisons." His internet search history includes inquiries such as "how many grams of pure arsenic will kill a human" and chilling YouTube searches like "how to make poison" and "Top 5 Undetectable Poisons That Show No Signs of Foul Play." Further complicating the case, James Craig supposedly created a new email account to order arsenic online.

As we dig deeper, it appears the couple's marital relationship was on rocky grounds. Angela's sister has been instrumental in providing crucial insights into the dynamics of the couple's relationship. She informed investigators about the volatile nature of their marriage. More alarmingly, she recalled Angela once mentioned that James had drugged her in the past, as he intended to commit suicide and did not want her to prevent his actions.

Following Angela's untimely death, her sister also brought another suspicious behavior to light. She stated that James Craig had expressed his wish against an autopsy being conducted on Angela. The affidavit quotes James as saying, "if they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her when she was alive he wouldn’t let them poke her more when she was dead."

The coming months will undoubtedly bring more details to the fore as the trial commences. It remains to be seen what defense James Craig's legal team will present, and whether new evidence will emerge. The case is an unsettling reminder that sometimes, the darkest secrets are hidden behind the most unsuspecting facades. As the justice system takes its course, our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Angela Craig, who are grappling with the tragic loss and its unfolding implications.

  • 50 Cent Accuses Diddy Of Orchestrating 2Pac's Murder
Rapper 50 Cent, a figure known for courting controversy, has delivered perhaps his most explosive revelation yet. In a recent social media post, the influential G-Unit founder pointed an accusatory finger at Sean "Diddy" Combs, insinuating the mogul's role in the assassination of hip-hop legend Tupac "2Pac" Shakur.

Taking to Instagram on October 9, 50 Cent's post was not one to be ignored. He shared an evocative photo of Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight from the night of the fatal drive-by shooting in 1996, captioned with words hinting at Diddy's alleged involvement. "Damn so pac got lined by brother love,” he wrote, making a reference to Diddy's R&B alias. Further adding fuel to the fire, 50 Cent also advised Combs to “lawyer up” stating, "LOL Time to Lawyer up, shit might get sticky.”

The 2Pac mystery, dating back to September 7, 1996, has been a haunting chapter in hip-hop's storied history. On that fateful night, Shakur was brutally attacked with multiple bullets, leading to his tragic death less than a week later. Suge Knight, who was with Shakur at the time, miraculously survived with a non-fatal wound to the head.

Amidst the swirling rumors and theories about 2Pac's death, the involvement of Diddy, the head of Bad Boy Records, has long been a topic of debate, especially given the well-documented tension between Death Row and Bad Boy Records. Although Diddy has been a repeated subject of these speculations, it's important to note that he has never been arrested or formally charged in relation to the crime. Furthermore, Diddy has consistently and forcefully denied any association with Shakur's murder.

Fueling this ongoing firestorm are statements made by Duane “Keefe D” Davis during a 2008 police confession. Davis, who was charged with Shakur's long-standing unsolved murder last month, has made some significant admissions. The 60-year-old former South Side Compton Crip purported that he and Diddy once deliberated over a $1 million bounty to eliminate both Shakur and Knight. This alleged discussion supposedly occurred in Greenblatt’s Deli, Los Angeles, where Diddy supposedly expressed his desire to “get rid of them dudes.”

However, in an unexpected twist, Keefe D later claimed that the proposed $500,000 payment, supposedly from Diddy for carrying out the act, was never delivered to the South Side Compton Crips. Authorities have long believed Shakur's killing was a result of retaliation against Keefe D's nephew, Orlando Anderson, who had a prior altercation with Shakur. Anderson, implicated by Keefe D as the man behind the trigger, lost his life in an unrelated gang altercation in 1998.

Lending more credibility to the cloud of speculations around Diddy's rumored involvement, Ma$e, an ex-Bad Boy artist, made cryptic remarks on his sports talk show, "It Is What It Is." While discussing Keefe D's recent arrest, Ma$e made sly references, hinting at Diddy's potential involvement.

However, one voice of reason amidst the maelstrom of accusations and speculations is that of Greg Kading, a retired LAPD detective. Having spent significant time investigating Shakur's death, Kading opined that the probability of Diddy facing any charges is marginal. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Kading elucidated the need for irrefutable witnesses who can pinpoint Diddy's alleged solicitation or payment, a challenge that seems far-fetched. The retired detective also emphasized his belief that Diddy isn't a killer, stating, "Puffy’s not built like Suge Knight, and I don’t think Puffy was truly intentionally trying to get either 2Pac or Suge killed.”

With 50 Cent's bold accusations, the tragic saga of Tupac Shakur's untimely death has once again been thrust into the limelight. Only time will tell if these renewed conversations and speculations will finally lead to the unmasking of the truth behind one of hip-hop's most enduring mysteries.
