Welcome to our first annual Thanksgiving episode. Now sure we could talk about the first Thanksgiving and how the pilgrims and Native Americans sat down, broke bread and ate Turkey but let’s be honest, that story is probably horseshit. Instead we’re going to focus on the plight of our Indigenous brothers and sisters. Back in 1876 the U.S. Government (yes them again) sent the Army to forcibly move several Native American tribes off their sacred land and onto reservations. Well this is an instance we’re enough was enough and the good guys fought back with great results.

The Counter Intelligence Program or COINTELPRO was the 30 yr passion project of one J. Edgar Hoover. Who fucking hated everyone who even looked like they were having a good time or if you didn't like war...or racism....or opposed any of his views. He basically used the FBI as his personal tool to spy and incriminate those he didn't like. This program had dirt on Progressive Activists,  Politician, even MLK Jr. There's some heavy shit to unpack in here, let's get to it.

An airplane hijacking, $200,000.00 Ransom, a daring escape plan. No this isn't a movie ...well I mean it has been made into a movie but it's a true event and the only unsolved sky jacking in American history. Oh and that wasn't even is real name, his real name was Dan Cooper, and even that wasn't even his real name, that's just the name he gave the airline when he got his ticket....they didn't even check an ID back then, they were just like "okay cool Mr. Cooper here's your ticket and we won't even ask what's in your briefcase, cause it's definitely not a bomb."

Pornography...even as I'm typing this out I'm thinking about how something that was once so taboo, so risqué, perverted, has become almost common place now. I mean it's everywhere. The thing you're looking at right now, your phone or computer, yeah that's like THE gateway to Porn. Well once upon a time porn was only in print and even then it was pretty mild....until a guy named Larry Flynt took it upon himself to create Hustler Magazine, push every boundary of taste he could think of and as a result worked to create some of the freedoms of expression we still benefit from today.
