Before we dive any further into the pod, it's time to hear the full story of how Jesus saved Kim's life. From a priest walking in on her using the restroom in 2nd grade, to getting diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease, to encountering Jesus on the bathroom floor during a breakup phone call, Kim doesn't hold any details back. She shares her experiences with new age practices, talks about her OCD and PTSD, and shares the story of how God was present through every season. Get your tissues ready because this episode is emotional, vulnerable, and powerful.
What is Endometriosis? How do I know if I have it? How can I fix it? Kimberly Kushner is a proud mom of three boys and a highly qualified naturopath and clinical nutritionist. Her health journey began at 11 with painful periods and digestive troubles. After years of being passed from doctor to doctor, she finally saw an endometriosis expert 12 years later. A laparoscopy revealed adenomyosis, endometriosis lesions, chocolate cysts, and adhesions, which were removed from her bowel, bladder, uterus, pelvic ligaments, and ovaries. Finally receiving a diagnosis was a huge relief. Since then, Kimberly has navigated many challenges and now manages her health drug-free with a personalized holistic approach. She passionately helps other women with endometriosis, using her skills, knowledge, and expertise to offer genuine care and support. You can find her on Instagram @endonaturopath. Let's dive into this episode!

Who said that you have to be in a relationship, married, or have kids in order for God to use you? In this episode, Kim takes us through the lives of 9 different women in the Bible who God used to advance His kingdom here on earth. Kim also breaks stigmas and stereotypes that the world (and even other Christians!!) put on women.
If you've never doubted your faith, you're lying!! Doubt can feel so heavy, so shameful, and pretty bad sometimes. But in reality, it's not the craziest thing in the world. In this episode Kim shares a part of her testimony that resulted in a radical encounter with Jesus, breaks down how the high of that moment made the lows extremely low, and shows us how John the Baptist, Peter, and Thomas all doubted Jesus (and they were with him daily!!) And in true Holy & Hormonal fashion, Kim sheds light on the fact that doubt can feel catastrophic in the luteal phase.
*Trigger Warning* Today's episode is a bit of a heavier topic. There are mentions of eating disorders - if this is a sensitive subject for you, please listen with caution. Kim shares her experiences being bullied in middle school and how that trauma followed her into her 20s, how insecurities have crippled her, and opens up about her unhealthy relationship with food and body image. And of course, Kim reminds us that the world's standard of beauty is the opposite of God's standard. Kim dives into Romans, 2 Corinthians, and touches on 2 Samuel to share how to combat body image and teaches us how to hold every thought captive to Christ.
Our host, Kim, brings us the sex ed you should have gotten in middle school. Kim walks us through the four phases of the menstrual cycle (menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, luteal) and lays out the best foods + exercises to do that support your hormones rather than work against them. Kim also talks about the spiritual struggles of certain phases and how to put on the armor of God through each phase.
