Homo Superior Podcast

The boys get back to basics and recap the new Titans series (S1E1), Gifted (S2E4), TV and Movie news, and the comic issues: Shuri #1, Astonishing #16, Mr and Mrs X #4, Thor #6, Unstoppable Wasp #1, Venom Annual #1, X-Men Black Mystique, Justice League #10. They talk about twitter and it's uses, try and figure out the Guardians of the Galaxy roster, and play a new game Brent just made up. So, it's a pretty productive conversation altogether.

The boys, still absent Ryan and Clarke, try to salvage the first few episodes of The Gifted (S2). The show's worst sin is being boring, but they still try to hold out hope for the rest of the season.

It's Adam, Khelan, and Brent covering the trailers that came out since their brief hiatus with a special guest. They go over Daredevil (S3), The Boys (S1), The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (S1), Good Omens (S1), American Gods (S2), and Deadly Class (S1). The golden age of television continues.

The boys (minus Ryan) chit-chat about what Tom Taylor is up to, figure out Tom Taylor's SSN, and go to Tom Taylor's house; there's talk about all the movie, TV, and comic news; they also talk about the comics. It's a lot of round-up over the past two weeks and everyone is the most themselves.

The boys (and Nikki Herrera AND Sean Link) have a nice little chat about the Hellboy-free BPRD graphic novel. They try to figure out the appropriate number of frogs for a comic and Nikki says things!

The boys talk about the animated adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller (2012 film). It gets confrontational about discussions of law, order, and nipple styles. There's probably too much focus on the Tunnel of Love.

The boy's talk about the new Captain Marvel trailer (2019 film), Joaquin Phoenix as Joker, Batman's penis, the new Spiderman game; the play Venture Time; and the review the comics: Return of Wolverine #1, Venom #6, Thor #5, Justice League #8, West Coast Avengers #2, Gold #36, Mr. and Mrs. X #3, and Multiple Man #4. They get ready for Brent's wedding next week, try to decide what D they want to see, and Venture Time continues to go off the rails.

The boys hammer through a bunch of news about comic cancellations and beginnings, the rumor mill of DC and Marvel films, and some teasers; they play the next part of Venture Time (D&D); and they Domino #6, Fantastic Four #2, Iceman #1, X-23 #4, and X-Men Blue #35. They talk about meeting aliens, figure out who (among everyone) wants to be Batman, and Cropduster plays Venture Time a *little* differently.

The boys review the (limited) news, play a Venture Brother's themed D&D game, and talk comics: Asgardians of the Galaxy #1, Cap America #3, Ant-Man and the Wasp #5, Astonishing #15, Gold #35, and JL #7. They mourn Burt Reynolds, play a rousing game of V&D, and Khelan is earth.

The boys dig into the issues around Comicsgate, new superhero incarnations in comics and film, cast members, the streaming platforms of Disney and Netflix, a Venture Brothers game, and the comic issues: Wolverine: Dead Ends #1, New Mutants: Dead Souls #6, Blue #34, Extermination #2, X-23 #2, Grand Design #4, and Jessica Jones #2. It's a clunky first few minutes as Ryan improvises and Clarke eats pizza but they get back on track and into a good ol' fashioned talk about what kind of relationship Rictor deserves to be in.
