Homo Superior Podcast

The boys have a roundtable on their personal lives, problems in comic book media, and when spoilers are appropriate. Season 2 of Luke Cage gets mentioned too much, they talk about the essence of comic book stores, and how they got into anal.

The boys recap the season 2 finale of Westworld; news about Gifted (TV), Indiana Jones (2020 film), Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel; and the comic book issues: Amazing Spider Man: Wakanda Forever #1, Black Panther #2, HFW: Mystery in Madripoor #2, Multiple Man #1, Blue #30, Thor #2, and Venom #3. Westworld's quality is called into question, jumping between topics is the theme, and lots of love is expressed for Thori.

The boys celebrate the destruction of X-Men's Blue and Gold, racism in the comic history, the Incredibles 2 (2018 Film), Westworld (S2E9), Cloak and Dragger (S1E3), and the comic book issues: Gold #30, HFW: Claws of a Killer #2, Justice League #2, Avengers #3, Ant-Man and the Wasp #2, Doctor Strange #2, Tony Stark: Iron Man #3, and Cable #158. They debate whether Brad Bird hates superheroes, Clarke includes topics that only he is interested in, and the culling begins.

The boys mourn the absence of Clarke as they discuss news about Wonder Woman: 1984, Ice Man, Captain Marvel, and the GoT spinoff; Legion (S2E10-11), Cloak and Dagger (S1E1-2), and Westworld (S2E7-8); and the comic issues: Thor #1, Exiles #4, Adamantium Agenda #2, New Mutants #, Venom #2, Blue #29, Quicksilver #2, and Domino #3. They try out Clarke impressions, debate the value of spinoffs, and try to determine the appropriate amount of nonsense in a comic.

The boys recap tons of comic books issues in exciting and thoughtful ways. Don't think so? We'll here are the issues: Dazzler: X Song #1, Astonishing #12, Ant-Man and the Wasp #1, HFW: Weapon Lost #2, Doctor Strange #1, Deadpool #1, Immortal Hulk #1, Gold #29, Red #5, Cloak and Dagger #1, and Justice League #1. Dazzler gets into some mixed metaphors, Jean Grey (probably) violates the Geneva Convention, and Brent can't remember the name of basic characters.

The boys aren't all sold on two 2018 blockbuster films with "anti-hero" leads as they discuss Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story. There are a few technical glitches and they never really talk about what it means to be an anti-hero but, like, still listen or whatever.

The boys are in it and talking about Spider-Man rumors, Star Wars stories, Legion S2E8-9 and Westworld S2E5-6, and the comic book issues: Justice League: No Justice #3-4, Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor #1, Black Panther #1, Blue #28, Gold #28, and Red: Annual #1. Not gonna lie, we're a little drunk on this one.

The boys talk about all of the network shows they love which have been cancelled (and also Inhumans), they get into new comic version of the West Coast Avengers, the Star Wars TV show, Legion (S2E7), Westworld (S2E4), and the comic book issues: All New Wolverine #35, Avengers #2, Cable #157, Hunt for Wolverine: Claws of a Killer #1, Quicksilver No Surrender #1, X-Men Red #4, Gold #WhoCaresAboutThisWedding, and Justice League No Justice #2. They try to figure out if the CW makes any good shows, Clarke slips up on the word "Eternal", and then he has a surprising pick for his MVP issue.

The boys go over the potential Avenger's news, Legion (S2E6), Westworld (S2E3), and the comic book issues: Domino #2, Exiles #3, Hunt for Wolverine: Adamantium Agenda #1, FCBD Spider-Man #1, FCBD Avengers #1, Blue #27, New Mutants #3, Venom #1, and Justice League No Justice #1. It's Brent's birthday, they talk about possible Westworlds, and we get our first phone call!

The boys review the new Ant-Man & Wasp trailer (2018 Film), talk about DC's new streaming app, chat about the latest episodes of Legion (S2E5) and Westworld (S2, E1,2), gossip about some comics: Avengers #1, Rogue & Gambit #5, Astonishing X-Men #11, X-Men Gold #27, Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost #1, and Weapon X #17. Khelan blacks out, Adam can't keep his numbers straight, and then there's Mauve.
