Welcome to another edition of The Horses Mouth. In this episode I had the good fortune of speaking with none other than Luke Williams. Luke is one of those people with infectious energy — a great human, a great storyteller, and a serious gonad man. His ability to hold priority and wait for the right wave is enough to melt even the sternest of steel traps.

Luke hails from the coastal Victorian town of Lorne, where he dominates both the point and the main drag. When he’s not doing that, he’s dominating the spot — and when he’s not dominating the spot, he’s at work, smashing houses together to help keep Victoria moving. He’s got a biblical trade — a carpenter — and he’s damn good at it too.

And if he’s not in the surf or on the tools, he’s either hanging out with his girlfriend or trekking to some far-flung corner of the globe, sniffing out wedges and spreading the Luke Williams fairy-dust good vibes wherever he goes.

Originally from New Zealand and raised in the school of hard knocks (seriously!), Tina's life took a sharp turn thanks to a chance encounter with a stranger—maybe even a guardian angel, depending on how you look at it. That moment gave her the courage to get out of her situation and go live, really live, and experience the world.

And that’s exactly what she did. She’s been everywhere, man—Rubbing shoulders, cutting hair, and partying with some of the great artists and cultural trailblazers of our time.

Today on the Horses Mouth, I was joined by Dr Harley Mackenzie — a long-time Torquay local, leader in the energy sector, and a passionate advocate for reform. Dr Mackenzie has just announced he’s running for the federal seat of Corangamite, representing the Legalise Cannabis Party. His campaign isn’t just about changing laws — it’s about health, personal freedom, and bringing some much-needed common sense to the national conversation on cannabis. As he puts it: “The war on drugs has failed. It’s time for a smarter approach.”

This week, I had the good fortune of chatting with none other than Max Cakarik. Max is a mate of mine who never stops surprising me—I’m honestly in awe of how he keeps leveling up, taking on life’s challenges, and then pushing even further.
