Welcome to another edition of The Horses Mouth. In this episode I had the good fortune of speaking with none other than Luke Williams. Luke is one of those people with infectious energy — a great human, a great storyteller, and a serious gonad man. His ability to hold priority and wait for the right wave is enough to melt even the sternest of steel traps.
Luke hails from the coastal Victorian town of Lorne, where he dominates both the point and the main drag. When he’s not doing that, he’s dominating the spot — and when he’s not dominating the spot, he’s at work, smashing houses together to help keep Victoria moving. He’s got a biblical trade — a carpenter — and he’s damn good at it too.
And if he’s not in the surf or on the tools, he’s either hanging out with his girlfriend or trekking to some far-flung corner of the globe, sniffing out wedges and spreading the Luke Williams fairy-dust good vibes wherever he goes.
Hope you enjoy our chat.
Welcome to another addition of the Horses Mouth, This episode I had the pleasure of talking to Carly Shanahan, she is a awesome human chasing after her dreams of being a professional surfer and seriously getting the job done, this is not with out her challenges, but she has this town 100 percent behind her and none became more evident than when she made it onto the world stage of the Ripcurl Pro WCT event at Bells last year, was an amazing first look into the stratosphere that is the WTC - if your a competitor thats the box and dice ---- yeah Carls Epic, this chat we dive into the ducks that lined up to make that all possible and much much more -- Hope you enjoy our chat
Eli Helm is a force. A Qigong teacher, kinesiologist, spinal flow practitioner — and someone I’m stoked to call a friend. She’s a mum, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, student, and graduate — you picking up what I’m putting down? Eli is a lot of things to a lot of people.
As you’ll hear, she’s someone who never stops questioning and striving — for better health, deeper understanding of the human body, and a richer life experience
In this chat, we cover a wide range of topics. I’ve dropped a few links below for those keen to dig a little deeper.
Thanks again, Eli. Super stoked to have you over for the chat. :)

In this episode I had the good fortune of speaking with none other than Michael Ferris of Ferris Property - He's an amazing human having a second crack at reorganizing and living life more on his terms, you might say !!! The indoctrination of the human soul is real, the hamster wheel, the machine, the big G being Government wants you asleep at the wheel, pay your money to us and shut up.....Sorry, that was me getting on my high Horse,,,, but Michael has peeked behind the curtain and decided no more sleepy time, life is precious and he's not interested in feverishly chasing fun tokens for no good reason.
In this episode, I had the good fortune of speaking with Tina Tainui. Around here, she’s best known as a yoga teacher and founder of OurSpace Yoga in Torquay… but no no no—Tina is so much more than that. She’s a serious force of nature with a hell of a story to tell.
Originally from New Zealand and raised in the school of hard knocks (seriously!), Tina's life took a sharp turn thanks to a chance encounter with a stranger—maybe even a guardian angel, depending on how you look at it. That moment gave her the courage to get out of her situation and go live, really live, and experience the world.
And that’s exactly what she did. She’s been everywhere, man—Rubbing shoulders, cutting hair, and partying with some of the great artists and cultural trailblazers of our time.
Without giving too much away… I hope you enjoy our chat.
Thanks, Tina.
Today on the Horses Mouth, I was joined by Dr Harley Mackenzie — a long-time Torquay local, leader in the energy sector, and a passionate advocate for reform. Dr Mackenzie has just announced he’s running for the federal seat of Corangamite, representing the Legalise Cannabis Party. His campaign isn’t just about changing laws — it’s about health, personal freedom, and bringing some much-needed common sense to the national conversation on cannabis. As he puts it: “The war on drugs has failed. It’s time for a smarter approach.”
This week, I had the good fortune of chatting with none other than Max Cakarik. Max is a mate of mine who never stops surprising me—I’m honestly in awe of how he keeps leveling up, taking on life’s challenges, and then pushing even further.
He’s a young buck on a mission—went back to school, threw himself into yoga, tackled some heavy mental health battles, launched a magazine, landed a gig with Rip Curl, and is always on the hunt for waves of consequence. And his recent, on-a-whim trip to Hawaii? Epic yarn and story of aboslutly living life to the full
Stoked for ya, Max—absolute weapon.
Keep charging and thanks for the chat
In this episode, I had the great pleasure of sitting down with none other than Daniel Wald. Daniel is an all-around great guy and a true seeker in every sense of the word. Well-traveled and deeply passionate about music, he understands its power to touch the soul and bring people together.
Beyond that, Daniel is a teacher of Vortex Healing—a unique and awesome form of energy healing (vortexhealing.org, danielwald.com). He stopped by for a chat just before packing up with his family to move back to Europe, and I’m so grateful we got to dive into all things life.
Cheers, Daniel!
In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Naheda Hassan of Naheda’s Dips at Prahran Market. Naheda’s journey to where she is today is nothing short of inspiring—her story is one of perseverance, love, family, hard work, and determination. Her infectious enthusiasm for life and generosity shine through, even in the toughest moments.
Naheda runs an incredible business alongside her sons at Prahran Market, and if you’ve never been, it’s a must-visit! Next time you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and "get your dip on."
I hope you enjoy our conversation!
In this Episode I had the good fortune of speaking with none other than Dan Ross, Now for those of you that don't know who Dan is, I'll paint a little picture,,,,He's a Maddog of the highest order, But such an evolved Maddog, All in jest, but yeah, but no, but yeah, Maddog !!!, Hailing from the beaches of Angourie, Dan grew up all things ocean, and from a reasonably young age shifted his focus to the World Tour, against the wishes of teachers etc -- said 'no this is the life for me', and he made it ! making the world tour in 2008/09 and winner of the Margaret River Pro, Amazing achievements and dedication - fast forwarding today he's an Ambassador for Patagonia, a husband and father, Coach and Mentor at the Saltwater Institute and a filmmaker,,,, and a serious big wave charger, now what'd I say Maddog,,,,,,I hope you enjoy our chat and Dan thanks for coming over - Stoked
