This week we all learn to think more better (haha) with guest Dr. Kevin deLaplante, former academic professor from the University of Iowa and critical thinking educator. Kevin creates online courses that teach critical thinking and also runs the Argument Ninja Podcast where he talks about rational thought in the real world versus the ivory tower academic world in university classes. Logic, rhetoric and philosophy are perfectly valid and legitimate classes, but the way they have been taught have not led students to be able to apply them in the big wide world. Kevin and I talk about why this is and why integrating psychological and sociological principles is so crucial to being able to utilize critical thinking skills.
