Welcome to a new episode of Land-Grant Podcast Network’s I-80 Football Show. On this show, we travel down I-80 to talk all things Big Ten Football. This is the only Big Ten Podcast that’ll cover all 18 teams. After every week of action, we will catch you up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players you should be paying attention to for the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan.

Once again there is little news in the Big Ten as there aren’t many coaches who are on the chopping block and the coordinator firings will largely wait until the season ends. There is news at USC as Lincoln Riley benched Miller Moss after a streak of bad games and they are on flip watch as their 2025 quarterback commit may flip to Colorado. In other news, Nebraska's head coach demoted his offensive coordinator and promoted Dana Holgerson, an analyst who has been with the program for a little over a week. 

Week 11 started with a bang as UCLA won its third straight game upsetting Iowa on Friday night. After starting 1-5 UCLA is on a three-game winning streak, with Washington, USC, and Fresno State on the schedule the Bruins could find their way to bowl eligibility. Ohio State round into form as it prepares for a top-five showdown against Indiana in two weeks. Indiana just played Michigan and had its worst game of the season getting dominated in the trenches. Jordan and Dante break down the game to determine if this was just a bad game, which every contender has had this season, or if there are real concerns to take away from this game. Oregon and Penn State dominated lesser opponents and moved one step closer to making the 12-team playoff. 

On Tuesday the College Football Playoff committee dropped their newest top 25 ranking and the Big Ten was well represented with four teams in the top five. Oregon and Ohio State came in at no. one and no. Two respectively while Penn State was ranked no. Four and Indiana no. five. This means the Big Ten will have at least two more top-five showdowns barring an upset as Ohio State and Indiana will be a five-match up and the winner will most likely play Oregon in a top-five matchup in the Big Ten championship game. With four teams in the top five, it’s all but guaranteed that all five teams will make the 12-team playoffs and Jordan thinks the Big Ten is in a good position to win a national championship. 

In their weekly MapQuest segment, the guys are surprised by the lack of depth of games as there are no two games that start at the same time. If you have nothing else to watch you can watch Ohio State-Northwestern at noon. Midday the guys recommended USC-Nebraska with Oregon-Washington in prime time. The best game of the weekend may be on Friday with UCLA and Washington fighting for bowl eligibility. 

In their weekly pitstops, the guys discuss Ohio State fans being upset about Big Noon Kickoff and why hospitals should be able to veto parents when they give their kids bad names.
