In this episode of If She Can, You Can I interview a very special person named Dana Hayes. Let me tell you, this episode is FIRE!!
I came across Dana on Instagram when I was searching for support for a friend struggling with alcohol addiction. Dana has shared her journey to sober life on Instagram and her story is SO inspiring!
"Dana is a certified feng shui consultant raised in Bluffton, SC now living in Beaufort, SC.
Her unwavering sense of personal potential led her on a transformative journey of self healing, recovery from her own alcoholism and ultimately her mission to share what she's learned to help others realize and achieve their own innermost desires.
She uses the principles of Feng Shui (the ancient Chinese lifestyle of clearing old, negative energy to allow new, positive energy to flow) to help people who are interested in deep personal growth to heal the core of their issues so they're able to free themselves from their minds and live a happy & joyful life that aligns with the highest part of themselves.
If she could tell you one thing, it would be the if she can do it, you can do it.
And that's exactly why she's so excited to be apart of this podcast..."

Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a blogger? In this episode we answer all that and more with New England Life and Style blogger, Caitlin Houston. Caitlin was my mentor when I entered the blogging world! I love her story because Caitlin started off as an elementary school teacher and after she became a mom she decided to follow her dreams and pursue blogging. It took a lot of guts, trial, and error but Caitlin has found a ton of success and tells us all about It in this episode.
Here is what Caitlin has to say,
"Hi I'm Caitlin Houston, a Connecticut native, wife and Mom of two girls, lover of magic, dancing, and being alive. I consider myself both a storyteller and a content creator, writing honest posts about the life and style of a Mom from New England. On Caitlin Houston Blog you can find a mixture of raw truth and comic relief as I cover everything from mental health to motherhood struggles to putting together outfits to random recipes I make for dinner. My love of writing stems from a background in English literature. My desire to teach/connect/inspire others is derived from the years I spent as an elementary school teacher. My main goal in life is to teach my daughters self-love and to always share the ways I find peace in the chaos of life- one kitchen dance party at a time."

This episode is so meaningful to me because I had the opportunity to have a 1-to-1 interview with MY coach, Melissa Smith. A few months back I was noticing that although I had strategies and plans for many areas of my life, I always remain stuck in one particular area... my health and fitness. This is when I decided to seek out some help.
I'm a huge believer in not only the power of coaching, but also finding the RIGHT coach. Believe it or not, I actually found Melissa through Instagram! Her energy and knowledge base is what drew me in and the rest is history! I can't wait for you to learn about her amazing framework for success!
"Melissa Smith is a registered dietician & mindset coach helping women ditch yo-yo dieting, make peace with food, unapologetically listen to their intuition and boost body image. Her mission is to demystify mindful living and to empower her clients to step into confidence, alignment, and joyful health. Her clients learn how to stop bingeing and restriction, build body trust, and heal their relationship with food and their body using Melissa's intuitive mindset framework. Melissa is also a podcaster, the co-host of the High Vibe Mindset, a podcast that explores high vibe and next level living in business, health, relationships, spirituality, and mindset."

If you have ever been interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent, starting a nonprofit, or know someone who is... THIS is the episode for you. I sat down and had a candid conversation with my friend and fellow foster mom, Megan Pearson. Megan is who I reached out to when I became interested in learning about foster care, and she definitely put me at ease YET tells the truth about It all.
In addition to caring for so many babies and kids through the years, this year Megan and her friend Erin (also an awesome foster mom) have started a nonprofit organization called Fostering Family Hope, an organization committed to providing families and children with basic essentials, encouraging the growth of positive relationships within the children's family circles, and offer ongoing emotional support for their families. I have seen first hand the amazing work that Fostering Family Hope has done, and I'm so thrilled to be sharing their story. Between co-presidents Megan and Erin they have 9 (sometimes 10+) children, that is no easy job! Yet they still have found the time, emotional energy, and mental space to create this much needed organization. It's beyond inspirational!
To learn more about Megan's organization or to make a donation, check out @fosteringfamilyhope on Instagram or visit their website
