This is our new podcast called In One Word. It’s where we ask a guest a really deep and meaningful question and they have to answer it in one word.

Today’s guest is a former Prime Minister of Australia, and the first female Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.

Julia is a true pioneer of her gender, and has fought hard for women in everything that she’s done, whether that’s in politics or in broader life.

And she faced a lot of criticism that ultimately led to her being replaced as Prime Minister and her retirement from politics. 

Since then she’s gone on to achieve more amazing things, becoming the chair of mental health charity Beyond Blue, written a book, and even developed an usual friendship with Rihanna through some of her charity work.
