I mean, seriously, couldn't I be a whole lot more productive with 8 hours than just lying in bed?! Yikes, but that's exactly how I used to think about sleep. I mean, they don't call it "beauty sleep" for nothing! While we previously viewed sleep as a period of downtime when our bodies and minds shut off, we now realize sleep is actually a dynamic, active state that plays a vital role in our physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life.
