On this episode of the Understanding Ultra podcast I speak to Jody Raynsford.

Jody is somewhat of a ultra-running pioneer in that he popularised the MDS, was a vegan runner way before it was trendy and he founded one of the original podcasts about ultra-running - Bad Boy Running!

In this episode we speak about his route into ultras, his career as a running journalist and how he’s now become a marketing genius!

We dive into his book ‘How to start a cult’ and discuss how he and David Hellard manage to make podcasting look easy. 

On a technical note, during the first 10 mins of the recording my internet is rubbish as I’m in a Premier Inn so I miss some of his comments and have to swap to my phone. So apologies in advance for the poor sound from my side. Jody’s however is perfect so don’t be put off!
