Embiid made his much-anticipated 2024 season debut after recovering from a knee injury and serving a suspension following an incident with a media member. Despite standout performances from Paul George and Jared McCain, the Sixers couldn't secure a win against the Knicks. With this loss, the Sixers' record drops to 2-8 for the season, marking an unfortunate start to the NBA Cup.
