Crimewatch June 10 2020 -  Billy and Victoria Police's Glenn Gibson recapped the long weekend results from Operation Regal.

Unfortunately, Police issued 450 infringement notices mostly for speeding which is a bad result considering last week leading into the weekend Police made the message clear that they were going to be out in force.

On a positive note, there were not road fatalities.

With Victoria slowly easing restrictions the message is still very clear for people to remain vigilant and practise safe social distancing when out in public.

Crimewatch 27th May 2020 - With schools set to return in Victoria over the coming days Police are reinforcing the message about 40km/h school zones and reminding drivers to be extra careful during school drop off and pick up hours.

Crimewatch May 20 2020 - Billy was joined by Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Shortis to discuss a number of arrests that Police have carried out over the last week.

Unfortunately, it seems the message about removing valuables from cars is still not getting through to the public with thieves continuing to target unlocked cars around the Goulburn Valley. Crimewatch May 13 - Crime prevention Officer Glenn Gibson repeated the important message for citizens to take all valuables out of their cars and ensure they are locking them at all times especially at home as Police have seen an increase in car theft crime especially valuables like wallets, handbags and more.

Recently a couple of young offenders broke into some cars parked outside houses in Kialla and stole credit cards and used them at various shops around Shepparton. CCTV footage of the two has been uploaded to the Goulburn Valley Eyewatch Facebook page and anyone that can identify the men please come forward immediately

Thanks to the community coming forward with information about suspected illegal activity occurring in the area arrests have been made and they are encouraging this to continue. Thanks to this process of a couple of men have been arrested operating a cannabis growing house with over 180 plants seized.

Crimewatch 6th May - Police have seen crime numbers decrease during isolation however numbers for car theft and credit card theft remain. Police are urging all listeners to continue to lock cars even if they are parked at home.

A man has been placed in custody with 49 offences to his name.

April 29 2020 - For Crime Watch this week Billy spoke with Inspector Dean Williams about the horrible tragedy in which four Victorian Police Officers were killed during a roadside incident involving a speeding driver. Dean on behalf of the local Police command thanked the public for their overwhelming support and messages of sympathy as well as some delicious treats that had been delivered to the station.

In the last few days we have seen numbers of infection due to COVID 19 decrease and stable however Police are still firm that the restriction laws cannot be lifted yet as the risk of spread is still very high and we all still need to restrict our travel and practise social distancing at all times.
