Crimewatch March 18 with Inspector Glenn Gibson: On Crime Watch today Billy was Glenn discussed the public reaction to the Corona Virus pandemic that is gripping to country. Police are asking the community to remain calm and be vigilant.

Last weekends safe plates program was a big success with over 80 vehicles bring processed and fitted with safe screw to prevent them being stolen and used in crime.

Police are keen to speak to anyone that has information on a grass fire that was started by aerosol cans. With the ground still very dry from the harsh summer season fires are still a real threat to our community.

For Crimewatch this week Inspector Troy Hargardon joined Billy to discuss the results of the long weekend Police blitz entitled Operation Arid. Police were out in force on the busy roads to ensure road rules were obeyed especially regarding speeding. Unfortunately 100 incidents were recorded including 5 drink and drug related driving.

Safe Plates program is this Saturday where by for a gold coin donation experts will fit safety screws for your number plates. In the Goulburn Valley their has been a rise in number plate theft.

Coolheads young driver program last week had a big turn out of over 120 people especially new drivers. The program continues to attract a large crowd with parents wanting their kids to be aware of the risks on the road and practise safe driving.

With the ongoing anger from local farmers about the current water policy & prices, drought, big business water trading and issues with the Murray Darling Basin Plan, Billy got former Victorian State Water Minister Mr Peter Walsh who signed Victoria onto the Murray Darling Basin Plan to discuss the benefits of the original plan and why it was best for the state of Victoria at the time.

Chris Brooks is a local farmer from Barooga who has been very vocal about the states handling of water to farmers, as well as the poor decisions that are driving farmers off their land. He is taking the Murray Darling Basin Plan to court and wants answers from State politicians on why it's all gone wrong.

Crimewatch 3rd March with Detective Will Watkins - On Crimewatch this week Billy and Will discussed pleasing figures in the region that violent crime is down however volume crimes like theft from cars is still high especially for tradies.

CrimeWatch 19th February: Community Safety Officer Glenn Gibson joined Billy for this week's episode of CrimeWatch.

Local teenager Rhys, 16 has been missing from the area for over a month. Some contact has been made with him by Police but as he is in a bad way it is critical that he is returned to his carer ASAP. Any information fro the public is urgently requested.

Tragically a young 26 year old Queensland woman was killed on a road outside Tatura overnight after her car rolled on a gravel surface. Point for drivers to be extra cautious at night on different road surfaces.

Last week a young man was assaulted and robbed by a group in Mooroopna . Police are appealing to the public for information for anyone that witnessed the incident or knows those involved.
