21 Coffee Bathing

第21课 咖啡浴

When the Japanese as you "Would you like some coffee?" think twice before you answer.
当日本人问你；“要来点咖啡吗？” 你要三思之后再回答。
In Japan, it is quite popular to have a "coffee hath."
在日本洗“咖啡浴”是很风行的。
For about US$20, you can get a ground coffee bath; that is, they "boil" you in coffee.
大约美金二十块，你就可以洗一个研磨咖啡澡：也就是说，他们会私心你放在咖啡里“煮”。
The coffee smells good, but you'll probably feel the heat.
咖啡闻起来很香，但是你大概会感觉到它的热度。
It sounds like fun, doesn't it?
听起来好像很好玩，不是吗？
Well, the Japanese don't do it for fun.
而日本人不是为了好玩去洗的。
They believe it helps cure diseases. Who knows? Maybe it's true.
他们相信洗咖啡浴有助于治疗疾病。谁晓得呢？或许是真的。
But in spite of what they say, I'll just take my coffee in a cup, thank you.
但拜托，不管他们怎么说，我只要喝装在杯子里的咖啡就行了。

18.The Cool Group Has Money 潮流社团很有钱

Jen is poor. Her dad left when she was seven years old. Her mom didn't go to college, so she can't get any good jobs. Jen wishes she could get a job, but she is only 13 years old. Jen also wants to be part of the cool group. The cool group buys expensive clothes, shoes, makeup, and jewelry. Jen always wear really simple things, like a t-shirt.

One of the girls in the cool group is Jen's cousin. Her name is Dana. Dana convinced the cool group to invite Jen on a shopping trip. Jen is excited. She wants to convince them that she is cool enough to be a part of the group. When Jen sees them, she feels bad about herself. They are all dressing so much nicer than her. Jen tries to ignore this. She and the cool group go inside Rural Insiders, the most popular store for teenagers. Everything is so expensive though.

All of the girls in the group except Jen stand in line to buy something. "Are you going to get anything Jen?" asks one of the girls. "Yeah!" Jen says. She grabs a dress. It is $80! She buys the dress, but she plans to return it.

And no one will even talk to her. I heard she went to six different friends&`& houses for a place to stay. And they all had to pretend they weren&`&t home. That&`&s not cool. yeah. That&`&s really sad. so sad. breaks my heart.

19. Blame it on Men

What's the real reason women get fat?
女性发胖的真正原因是什么？
It's not chocolate or ice cream.

According to a recent report, which was published in London, it's men!

A magazine suggested men have a special warning written on their foreh-eads:

what do you think of that idea?

The report claims that when women fall in love, they tend to eat more.

When they get married, they cook more.
她们结婚后做饭会做得比较多。
And when they get pregnant, of course, they gain weight.
而她们怀孕后体重当然会增加。
They blame it on men.
她们把这怪到男人头上。
So, girls, if you want to lose weight,

you don't have to go on a diet: just dump your boyfriends!
