Karl Lokko calls himself the ex caterpillar...that’s because he has now metamorphosed into something so unrecognisable from his former life as a gang leader in South London. As a boy he was declared a child genius, and yet by his early teens he had lost his way, and threatened never to realise his potential. After evading both prison and death at the hands of rival gang members, Karl recognised he needed to change his ways.
Hear him recount his remarkable story to Natalie Pinkham, as he describes how he turned things round, and is now guiding other displaced and disenfranchised young people to do the same.
