On January 12, 2018, 47-year old Jeff West and his 42-year-old wife Kat enjoyed a date night in their small Alabama city. It would prove to be an unforgettable evening, not from all the drinking and dining but because Kat wouldn’t live to see the next sunrise. Initially, it was unknown whether Kat’s death was a tragic accident or something malicious. Investigators learned that what seemed like a cut-and-dry case, would eventually amount to a maze of uncertainty. Although a jury reached a verdict in this case, doubt still exists about their decision.
