They say “don’t meet your hero’s” bc it could be a major letdown. Well, thank God that wasn’t true w Ken Block, the lead singer for Sister Hazel. Sister Hazel is the SOUNDTRACK to my high school and college days. I must have played “Your Winter” on repeat several thousand times. It’s my favorite song in the universe. So when I got the chance to interview Ken, I geeked out. It was such an awesome interview and cool moment for me personally. Ken is so down to earth and very open and honest about all things, including family life, the realness of being in a band, addiction and relapse and the fear of losing his voice, how he found balance, what brings him most joy, and music of course. Ken is such a badass human. This episode was everything my super fan 20ish year old self dreamed it would be.
