The COVID pandemic was an unprecedented event that posed numerous challenges for real estate investors. One of the biggest challenges for owners was the loss of revenue from non-paying tenants. On top of the that, governments enacted eviction moratorium, which prevented owners from evicting these non-paying tenants.

While COVID was unprecedented, these challenges aren't unique. These same challenges can occur during a global recession. So the lessons we learned from COVID are directly applicable to owners as they prepare for a future recession.
