On a freezing February morning in 2008, five women were executed in the back room of a Lane Bryant store in Tinley Park, Illinois. A sixth survived by pretending to be dead. The man responsible walked in without a mask, stayed for nearly an hour, and left behind duct tape, trauma, and almost no evidence. Seventeen years later, despite a witness and a police response within minutes, he’s still unidentified. Allison tells us the rest of the story that changed one Chicago suburb forever—and how a twist of fate saved someone very close to our family.
