This is a powerful episode. Laney and Walker Hayes are high school sweethearts. They fell in love at age 17 after breaking into a construction site and talking all night, then reciting lines from their school play to each other and Walker finally going in for the kiss. They are incredible parents to 6 kids, and make it a point to have open communication about everything. They also have a family tradition of eating pounds of bacon when Walker comes in off the road. Laney gets real with me about the grief and tragedy of losing their 7th child, Oakleigh, in labor while Laney almost died delivering her.
