Critic Reviews:
"A Death in Geneva by Denis Clift has a great unfolding plot and flow, sophisticated dialogue, superb character development, and artful locational descriptors worthy of the author's well-traveled and worldly background. This is a refreshing and worthy read, guaranteed to please." (ADM. William O. Studeman, USN (Ret.), former Director of NSA and former Deputy director of CIA)
"What an absolute gem of a novel, superbly conceived, deftly developed, and stylishly written with unmistakable authority by a person who knows a thing or two about the frightening world he profiles, and the no-nonsense people who inhabit it. First published in 1987, A Death in Geneva prefigures and speaks eloquently to the post 9/11 world we now inhabit with remarkable prescience. Bravo, Naval Institute Press, for introducing the fiction of A. Denis Clift to a new generation of readers." (Nicholas A. Basbanes, author of On Paper: The Everything of Its Two Thousand Year History and A Gentle Madness: Bibliophiles, Bibliomanes, and the Eternal Passion for Books)
"Seldom if ever does an author possess the relevant skillsscholarship, elegance of expression, insight into the several dimensions of character, and a commanding personal grasp of subject matter (in this case of diplomacy, intelligence gathering, and international politics)to craft a novel of such authenticity and profoundly absorbing style as Denis Clift has achieved in A Death in GenevaClift draws you into an absorbing plot that combines ideological conflict, towering personal ambition by giants of industry and politics, hubris, and passionspread artfully over a canvas that extends from Malta to Geneva, New York, and Washingtonand leaves you breathless on every page. Its Kissinger, Bill Gates, and Le Carré at their best. I couldnt put it down." (Robert McFarlane, National Security Adviser to President Ronald Reagan)

Well done
Just finished and couldn't put it down til finished.
Great spy novel from the past.
Great book. The print is very small in the print edition - buy it on kindle!
story does not track
This was an awful book to read.
It was all over the place seems like the author was distracted while they tried to piece this together.
Don't buy this total waist of money.
A Gripping Novel
This is a gripping terrorism novel which was first published in 1988. But donât let the date fool you; donât let the lack of laptops and cell phones, nor the mention of a typewriter, make you think this story is old-school or passé.
