We often see companies and influencers throw numbers around on their Instagram accounts saying they are millionaires. Now I do believe some of them are millionaires but if your company only brings in 1 to 2 million a year in gross sales...that does not make you a millionaire. This is a good episode...if you want drama...this one has it. When we had our salon, we were great at finding new ways to mess things up. What is the ideal eye shape? This was a question we saw asked at a conference and the answer the speaker gave we thought was kind of odd. While the speaker was very kind and thoughtful, we don't think she really understood what she was saying with her answer. Over the last couple of years, I've met quite a few lash artists who are work part-time doing lashes and work full-time or part-time at another job. It is not easy to work a 9-5 job in the evenings and weekends build a lash business. When an employee leaves a salon, it can be very painful for the salon owner as well as for the employee. When an employee leaves, tensions can go way up in the salon. Over the years, we had all sorts of drama when an employee left, and the main reason for that is we had no system in place on how employees should leave. In the last couple of years, when we had our salon, we changed that and let our staff know that we wanted them to leave in a way so we could all be friends. In this episode, we share how you can set up your business to have a better transition when an employee decides to leave your salon. It doesn't not need to a drama-filled transition.
