I am truly grateful to have Nevada Miller on today’s episode to share her insights on scaling a handmade business. In this episode Nevada gives tips for when you’re first starting your business, three ways to diversify your offerings, and advice when you’re first getting into trade work. This episode is filled with inspiration and wisdom from Nevada as she’s scaled her business and is teaching others how to do the same.
Nevada is a silversmith, engraver, maker, entrepreneur, ranch wife, western trade instructor and mother. She wears many different hats at her home in southeastern Oregon. Her entrepreneurial spirit started at a young age growing up in California.
She also shares an announcement that her Be A Maker School is launching a business course, The Business of Making, on October 1st. This course is designed for the maker that wears all the hats in the business. From pricing and marketing to invoicing, processes and so much more, multiple experts in western trades will provide you with information everyone wishes they had known before they started their business. I’m excited to share that I will also be one of the instructors!
