After practicing law in the Valley for more than a decade, Allison L. Kierman founded Kierman Law, to offer personalized service to her clients. Allison concentrates her practice on guiding families through the wills, trusts, and estate process and probate litigation.
Allison understands that making plans to ensure your family’s future and financial security is complicated and may involve sensitive issues. As a mother of two, she has the knowledge and understanding of how difficult it is to think of leaving your children with a guardian and will help you carve the best plan for ensuring your children’s future success. As a dog mother of two, Allison also understands how important pets are to their families and helps ensure proper caretaking for them as well.
Allison also provides general business consulting and counseling for those families who are also business owners and demand advice on business structuring and trusts. Allison coordinates her efforts with financial planners, accountants, and other advisors to ensure consistency and verify that all aspects of the estate plan are properly implemented. She has an extensive network of individuals that she can refer clients to so all their needs are met when making these important life decisions.
Before starting Kierman Law, Allison was a partner in a successful law firm, providing a broad range of legal services to business owners across the country. She has been named a Southwest Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a designation given to the top 2.5% of lawyers in Arizona or New Mexico who are either forty years old or younger or have practiced law for ten years or less.
Listen to this informative Your Life. Your Legacy. episode with Allison Kierman about Allison’s time as a partner at a firm providing a variety of legal services before she found her calling in estate planning, why she loves the intimacy of estate planning, and why no two estate plans are the same. It’s about much more than making sure the forms are correct, you have to find out all about your client’s life and the legacy they want to leave.
Here is what to expect on this week’s show:
-Estate planning is very personal, you may have to ask some tough questions
-Every estate plan needs to fit the requests of the client and their assets
-Convey to your client that there’s no judgment in whatever they want
-Draft the plans your client wants, not the ones you would do for yourself
-The hardest thing a client does is come to the appointment
