In this episode, we dive deep into one of the most misunderstood and frustrating parts of our inner world: the inner critic.
You know the voice - that one that whispers (or shouts) that you’re not good enough, that you’ve messed everything up, that you’ll never be “enough.” Whether it’s triggered by your cycle, relationships, creativity, or just... life, the critic can feel like a monster lurking in the shadows.
But what if that monster wasn’t here to ruin you... but to protect and guide you?
In this episode, I talk about how to transform your relationship with your inner critic - from one of fear and frustration to one of collaboration, curiosity, and yes, even compassion.
We cover:
Whether your critic shows up as a whisper or a scream, this episode will help you start building a different kind of relationship with it - one rooted in awareness, honesty, and gentleness.

How are we meant to honor our cyclical nature in a world that values consistency and productivity above all else?
In this episode, we're exploring the tension between practicing menstrual cycle awareness (MCA) and the reality of living in a linear, patriarchal, capitalist society.
Whether you're completely new to MCA or you've been practicing for a while, this episode offers a grounded, compassionate look at how to live in deeper alignment with your cycle—even when life doesn't make it easy.
I’m sharing two powerful mindset shifts that can help you:
We also talk about:
This one’s for anyone who feels the pull to live more cyclically but struggles with the practicality of it in real life. There’s no perfect way to do this—just starting is enough.

In this episode I'm reading an essay from my substack titled "PMS is a Feminist Issue - How the Patriarchy Gaslights Women Into Ignoring Their Premenstrual Truth".
I look at the wider societal implications of why we experience so much suffering in our premenstrual phase, rather than experiencing it as the absolute power house it is.
And if you'd prefer to read the episode you can do that on my substack.

In this episode I delve into how to use anger as a compass, particularly for women experiencing intense premenstrual rage.
I discuss how re-framing our relationship with anger can transform it into a powerful guiding tool, rather than something destructive. I also highlight the societal demonization of women's anger and the importance of acknowledging and revering this emotion.
Through personal anecdotes and reflections, I explore how anger can signal unmet needs and boundary issues, as well as serve as a marker for deeper emotions.

By connecting boundaries to the menstrual cycle, I emphasize the importance of understanding and respecting personal limits throughout the entire cycle to prevent severe premenstrual symptoms.
I delve into the challenges of people pleasing, self-abandonment, and the impact of societal expectations on boundary-setting as well as how you can start to build a stronger relationship with your yes, no and maybe to start getting relief from PMS and PMDD symptoms.

In this episode I delve into the archetype that can help you go from feeling overwhelmed in your premenstrual phase to feeling powerful af - The Muse-Beloved.
I discuss how severe premenstrual symptoms often bring suppressed parts of ourselves to the surface and how the Muse Beloved can support us in addressing these shadows.
I explain how our psyche consists of four archetypes — the nurturing generative adult, the innocent sage, the wild indigenous one, and the Muse Beloved — each aligning with different phases of the menstrual cycle.
By connecting with the Muse Beloved, we can harness the true power of the premenstrual phase through creative expression, emotional release, and deeper intimacy in relationships.
I offer practical tips like engaging in creative activities, spending time in nature, and journal prompts to facilitate this connection and encourage a profound personal exploration of love, shadow, and emotional depth.

In this episode I'm diving into the stereotype of women being 'crazy' during their premenstrual phase. Rather than becoming unhinged, we as women become highly sensitive to the truth and more discerning. We become walking bullshit detectors.
I discuss the harms of labelling women as 'crazy', drawing parallels to historical mistreatment and societal conditioning. I emphasise the importance of acknowledging and embracing all parts of ourselves, even the ones that emerge during the luteal phase. By doing so, we foster self-love, confidence, and reduce internal conflicts, ultimately leading to a more harmonious experience of our menstrual cycle.
