It’s that time of year when the weather gets chilly and the snow falls. But, when it comes to Winter Wonderlands Lewis seems to feel differently about it. Weather being one thing, this past weekend was a tough and senseless one on many levels. The two terrorist attacks at both Brown University and Bondi Beach is enough in and of itself. But the weekend was capped by the terrible news in the entertainment world with the tragic death of comedy icon, Rob Reiner and his wife. Lewis attempts to navigate it all, but sometimes it’s difficult to make any sense of the senseless.

The title says it all. The vast food insecurity that the children in our country is flat out appalling. And while we’re in the middle of a government shutdown, the debate over whether to continue to support SNAP benefits should not be an issue at all. Lewis makes it very clear where he stands on the issue and the rage is enough to make him want to leap out of his seat. When are the adults going to enter the conversation?

The title says it all. The news cycle of nonsense keeps coming at us that even taking a week of from things makes it nearly impossible to keep up with the news cycle. Lewis is down in North Carolina but just because he’s not sitting in his public access studio right now doesn’t mean the ridiculousness took a break. Our president decided to give a speech to our military industrial complex. Oh, and he brought along a hedgehog for his opening act. Seems redundant to continue to ask where the adults are in the room but we did see the adults and they were our military leaders who traveled from afar and were “treated” to a 50 minute rambling speech.
