We’re back for another week of the great question to be asked, and that’s “where are the adults in the room?” From wild antics at the UN, border patrol bribes, frivolous lawsuits, and the unfortunate reality of more mass shootings. It’s just another week of pure lack of proper governance and Lewis distills those frustrations many of us have right now. This week Lewis discusses the recent congressional hearings involving Kash Patel and his  unsettling demeanor and lack of respect during questioning at the Congressional Hearings. But that’s not all that’s in the news as the recent dismissal of Jimmy Kimmel raises eyebrows for Lewis. Lewis takes a hard look at the idea of this past week’s events actually being a turning point in the US. Mostly because he feels it’s been said before. Lewis is back from his week-long comedy curation in upstate New York where he spent his 4th of July performing live. He returned to the madness of the day to commiserate with the rest of us about how the Boss’ Big Beautiful Bill isn’t really any of those things. But at least he has Prime Day to look forward too, right? He’s planning on following that up with a safari in Africa, where he hopes by the time he’s scheduled to return, he will be allowed to.

It’s time to celebrate our nation’s independence. But are we in a renaissance of military spectacular-ness? The Boss seems to think so. Because our recent non-congress approved exercise in Iran would have you to believe that all the Middle East’s issues were solved in just a day or two. It’s worth of giving the Boss a Nobel Peace Prize, right? National intelligence saying otherwise have something different to say.
