It may be All-Star week for most and Vacation Week for the host, but Ryan Andrews is still going to deliver that hot Blue Jays content!
On location at the scenic St. John's International Airport, the intrepid host gives their top-five most unusual and underwhelming Blue Jays All-Stars ever!
No J.A. Happ does not make this list, but honorable mentions go to Brett Cecil, Steve Delabar and Michael Saunders before Andrews cracks into the countdown. They dig back into the expansion days, touch on some memorable phrases and highlight a Canadian who had the worst performance at an All-Star game, even worse than B.J. Ryan!
The number one pick is guaranteed to surprise you as much as it surprised the host!

In addition to All-Star week, it's vacation week at Locked on Blue Jays and that means it's time to reflect on the 2018 season!
To lead off the week, host Ryan Mueller takes fans on a tour of the Blue Jays' minor league system, starting by highlighting his MVPs at AAA Buffalo, including catcher Danny Jansen. He then heads to AA New Hampshire, where Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are the big names, but he adds his praise for T.J. Zeuch.
In the second half, Mueller heads to A+ Dunedin where players like Kevin Smith and Jackson McClelland have been Sunshine Stars. Finally, he wraps up with a stop at A Lansing, where Maverick Buffo and Ryan Noda have been proving themselves to be late-round gems.

In this week's Blue Jays Fan Friday, Ryan Andrews discusses trade talks with the Yankees, fans being stupid, and an early projection for 2019.
In the last Fan Friday before a trip to Newfoundland, the host discusses a trade offer put together for J.A. Happ and Aaron Sanchez by a Yankees follower, and makes an admission on who the potential stumbling block would be.
Andrews also goes through thoughts on Mookie Betts and his insane 13-pitch at-bat against Happ that resulted in an unearned grand slam for the Blue Jays lefty. They also mention the nerves that plagues visitors to Fenway and how it may have played into what happened.
In the second half, the Nova Scotian discusses the stupid fan who nearly died reaching into the field of play for a Justin Smoak ball. They conclude episode 69 with a projection for the 2019 Blue Jays and when fans can expect a competitive team.

Two hosts for the price of one today on Locked on Blue Jays as both Ryans are on the air!
Ryan Andrews and Ryan Mueller discuss the rankings of the Blue Jays rotation pieces as the moment, from Marcus Stroman's ascension to ace once J.A. Happ leaves, to Ryan Borucki nipping at Marco Estrada's heels, to where Chris Rowley and Thomas Pannone fit in behind Sam Gaviglio. No stone is left unturned in defining the Blue Jays rotation.
In the second half, Andrews brings up another instance of the Blue Jays continuing to fight for runs and wonders if this never-say-die attitude is enough to convince the front office to keep John Gibbons around for next year.

Coming off of a Blue Jays victory, it's a very positive edition of the Locked on Blue Jays podcast!
Ryan Andrews spends the majority of the episode focusing on Marcus Stroman. The host praises Stroman for another strong performance and dives into the difference the DL stint has made in his ability to generate soft contact.
In the latter half, Andrews turns their attention to last night's eighth-inning offensive outburst. The Nova Scotian discusses how the small-ball tactics the Blue Jays used to generate five runs, how Atlanta used that to rise to the top of the NL East, and how it could serve the Blue Jays moving forward.
Special thanks to @TheNastyBrave for the contributions and insight on Atlanta!

Locked on Blue Jays host Ryan Andrews splits the podcast today with positive thoughts in the first half and more negative thoughts in the second.
In the first half, Andrews discusses the news that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is going to be joining Buffalo upon his return from injury. The Nova Scotian highlights fair projections for the teenager and what his success could mean for the Blue Jays at this year's trade deadline.
The second half consists of Roberto Osuna talk. Given the recent move of his court date, Andrews discusses the implications of Osuna pitching while in the midst of a case, the implications of what this means for the franchise and an ultimate verdict of their own.

Let Locked on Blue Jays begin your week with thoughts on a melange of topics!
Host Ryan Andrews begins with some positives to be drawn from the Blue Jays' weekend series with the Yankees, from Ryan Borucki's stellar Sunday start, to Justin Smoak's resurgent series at the plate.
However, all attention comes back to J.A. Happ. Andrews discusses what the lefty's Saturday start means going forward for his trade value.
In the second half, the Nova Scotian also argues against the Blue Jays' continuing practice of batting Kevin Pillar and Russell Martin 5th and 6th in the order, and details their preferred batting order, starting with Lourdes Gurriel at the top.
Andrews closes by railing against the All-Star game selections, particularly AL pitchers such as Blake Snell, James Paxton and Charlie Morton.

Another edition of Blue Jays Fan Friday sees a bevy of topics flooding into the Locked on Blue Jays studio!
Host Ryan Andrews plays traffic cop as a number of fans chime in with their responses! Andrews starts with the fan poll on who the Blue Jays All-Star should be and transitions that into a discussion on when J.A. Happ should be traded. Jasmine, the official cat of the podcast, has her own opinions.
The fans also show their support for Ryan Borucki and his efforts with the big league club. Andrews answers a question of whether or not the offense will continue to let Borucki down.
In the second half, the Nova Scotian offers final reflections on Jose Bautista's return, including whether or not Bautista can run for mayor, where he stands on the Blue Jays pantheon, and whether he should be able to retire in Toronto on a one-day contract, a la Shane Victorino.
Andrews concludes with the news of the signings of Zach Stewart and Brandon Cumpton and what this means for the Blue Jays rotation going forward, specifically Chris Rowley and Taylor Guerrieri.

An exciting second half of the Thursday twinbill comes on line as Ryan Andrews is joined by Expanded Roster editor-in-chief Kelly Wallace to discuss her new site!
Wallace describes the original idea for the site and how that expanded (hah!) to become a site where diverse writers would offer opinions on baseball outside of mainstream sources, and details some of the pieces already in the pipeline, including a discussion with Cubs reliever Steve Cishek and his love of high socks.
In the second half, Wallace goes into detail about her recent trip to Mexico to cover the Liga Mexicana championship and All-Star game, and what MLB can learn from the baseball league to the south.
Andrews presses Wallace to talk about the Cubs, and she obliges, discussing why the Cubs haven't reached the same heights of 2016, what they do about the Brewers, chasing Manny Machado and any advice she has for Blue Jays fans ahead of a potential rebuild.

In the first half, Andrews comments on Jose Bautista's curtain call at the end of yesterday's game and elaborates on their remark of a symbiotic relationship between Bautista and the Blue Jays.
The Nova Scotian also touches on Marcus Stroman's regression on the mound, heat-related or not, and gives out some praise to Russell Martin, Kendrys Morales and newest Blue Jays Rhiner Cruz.
In the second half, Andrews discusses who the Blue Jays' All-Star will be and after ruling out J.A. Happ and Teoscar Hernandez, settles on making the case for Yangervis Solarte.
