January 31, 2022 Jose Ramirez Great Third Baseman in Guardians/Indians History: We Dig into his Statistical Place in Franchise History
Almost daily there is an article about a Jose Ramirez trade or tweets about why he should be traded. A year ago we made the all-time Cleveland Baseball Team. A year later it is pretty easy to say that Jose Ramirez has nailed down third base on that squad. Yet how does he compare as a hitter in Guardians/Indians history? We talk about where he ranks now, where he could rank at the end of this year, and where he could be if he played out his contract. We also dig into a few spots to look at what his ranking could be if he signed an extension and played until the age of 35 in Cleveland. No matter what happens, enjoy the time we have with one of the greatest hitters in franchise history.

January 28, 2022CBA is Continuing, Draft Profiles, and Mailbag
More CBA talk, this time focused on the draft. It seems that draft pick compensation might go away. Since the draft process changed the Guardians have lost more picks than they have gained so while it might not seem it this might be good for the Guardians. We also talk about the fact that it does appear that a draft lottery of some type will be put into place.
The JUCO season begins tomorrow, we do another profile on a college player to know. Since we went with an Oregon State Beaver last time, this time we profile Josh Kasevich a shortstop from Oregon who is very much a Guardians type of infielder.
We end with some mailbag talk about Logan Allen the Younger, Richie Palacios, Gavin Williams, Tanner Burns, and even more.

January 26, 2022Things Looking up for a new CBA? Hall of Fame is a Joke!
Cross your fingers but there seems to be some give by both sides when it comes to a new CBA. There is a lot of big talk, but both sides know the loss of games would be a big loss for baseball in general. I discuss how it is hard to be a fan right now, especially a small-market fan.
I provide my idea for a way to work on the revenue sharing issue that the players want to see change, keeping it in place but ensuring that it goes to pay players and allows for smaller market squads to keep the faces of their franchise without it crippling them in terms of payroll.
We talk about the Hall of Fame. How the voters got it wrong and how much the voting is just about who was nice, who was mean, and where did they play. It is a broken system that needs to be changed with a lot of voters needing to lose their votes.

January 24, 2022All Free Agent Team
We start by talking about the promotion of Joe Torres to the Major League Staff. We also profile Oregon State left-handed pitcher Cooper Hjerpe. Hjerpe shows an advanced four-pitch mix and so far in college has missed bats and limited walks for the Beavers.
We start looking at the free agents who are left right now. We are looking at who are the best players left and which players might make sense for the Guardians once the lockout ends.
We continue looking at the all Free Agent Team focused on shortstop, third base, outfield, and pitching. While the starter market has been picked over there are a ton of interesting relief arms left and a few outfielders who have significant drawbacks but could still be upgrades over what the Guardians have had the past few years.

January 21, 2022Top College Arm Needs Tommy John and My Top Two Draft Prospects for 2022 MLB Draft
In a very weak class of college arms, the top college pitcher Peyton Pallette of Arkansas goes down with Tommy John surgery. We talk about who might end up being the top college arm in this year's class now. In addition, how will this end up affecting Pallette’s stock?
Next up is the number two player in this draft class Jace Jung. The younger brother of Josh Jung has done it all at Texas Tech so far. His brother is one of the top prospects in baseball and his little brother I think can be even better.
The top prospect in this year’s class is Brooks Lee, who was one of my top unsigned draft picks from the 2019 class. He is the best pure hitter in the college class and is the prototypical coach's son. He destroyed the Cape and I expect he will have a massive year at Cal Poly.

January 19, 20222022 MLB Draft Top Six: Bloodline Rich
We continue to focus on the draft, as we move into the top six players on our board. The top six are loaded with bloodlines: every single player has a brother in the minors, a dad who played professional sports, or a dad who coached at a high level. We start with Arizona catcher Daniel Susac.
Next up are a pair of prep hitters, who both profile as potential middle-of-the-order center fielders with power and speed. One the son of Andruw Jones and the other the son of former NFLer Eric Green. Get to know Elijah Green and Druw Jones.
We end with a small school outfielder, who has the best chance of potentially sliding to the Guardians of any player mentioned today. Chase DeLauter has had limited opportunities in college due to Covid, but was one of the best hitters in the Cape Cod League and put up numbers in his limited chances at James Madison that one rarely sees outside of a PlayStation game.

January 14, 2022Organizational Additions, Promotions, Ownership and Of Course More Draft Talk for the Cleveland Guardians
We talk about some of the news coming out of the Guardians in terms of the minor leagues, development, and baseball operations. We talk about how it is good to see more diversity and how the Guardians are continuing to retool as other organizations continue to raid them for coaching and scouting talent.
We continue to focus on the draft discussing a football safety who also excelled last year in the PAC 12. Along with a prep hitter, who might be the best hitter in the entire class. We also give some shout-outs to fans who continue to help contribute to the fun of the show.
We talk about Jacob Berry, one of the top players in the country, who is transferring from Arizona to LSU. We also get to talk a little about the downtown redevelopment plan which also seems to signify both Blitzer and Harris being the future majority owner in the next five years.

January 12, 2022More 2022 Draft Talk Prospects 15-9: Find out who my Top Pitcher Is
I start by discussing some fun football names to know in this year's draft class, after all the National Championship just happened. I also get into the number two pitcher on my board who has a total of 238 innings pitched and is unlikely to pitch during this college season but his slider is really something.
We continue with a prep shortstop from Pennsylvania, a college outfielder from a nontraditional power in a strong conference, and my top pitcher in this year’s class. While it might be a hitter class for the ages, the pitching leaves a bit to be desired this year.
We end by looking at a catcher from Catcher University and the son of a World Series-winning GM, who has a dozen reasons why he should not produce but was one of the most complete hitters in the SEC last year as a teenager.

January 11, 2022Bradley Zimmer Trade Asset? 2022 MLB Draft Ranks 20-16
Bradley Zimmer remains better than most people think, or I should say has more potential trade value than most Guardians fans think. I explain why it is that other writers often ask me about him in trades, and show the numbers that explain his perceived value.
We continue our 2022 MLB Draft rankings with players 20,19,18. This group has one college hitter, one college arm, and a prep arm. I am higher on the college bat than most, the college arm I am in line with, and the prep arm I am lower than and I explain why.
More draft talk as we dig into players 17 and 16. Dylan Lesko is likely to be my most controversial ranking. I explain why a guy who is a near consensus top ten is 16 on my board despite looking like the best prep arm in the last few classes.

January 07, 2022More MLB 2022 Draft Preseason Draft Rankings
We start with some more draft rankings. I discuss a Florida State pitcher who I might be too low on and a high school pitcher I might be too high on. The Florida State arm though might be a potential Guardians target come this June.
I discuss the Cape and why it is useful and also not. I get into some top performers and again talk about a pitcher from Florida State.
In the final segment, we have a pair of high ceiling prep hitters, one the son of a former major leaguer and the other one of the strongest players in the prep ranks. What they have in common is some very high percentile ranks in terms of raw data over at Perfect Game.
