Locked On Guardians - Daily Podcast On The Cleveland Guardians

In a pinch Eric Huysman jumps in and talks all things baseball with myself. We focus on the Astros, Indians, and the American League in general. We talk names to know, and get another fan bases view on the Indians chances. We talk about Michael Brantley in-depth, as he is equally beloved by both fan bases. It is a lot of fun as we both go to bat for why our teams are better than you think.

We start back on the 20th and dig forward through the roster changes at my count their are eight more players to go. We talk about the 40 man and who are the 5 players most at risk to either end up on the DL or let go. We talk about who we think the final 26 will at this point, and who is unlikely to make the team but could be the first players called up as needs arise. We also go into some Rule 5 history talk about the only five players who have made the Indians after being selected and dig into all of their histories. I am honestly kind of shocked with all the talent the Indians have lost over the years to the Rule 5, how little success they have had in general in a draft where they were often picking near the top.

We talk about the Paul Dolan presser, picking apart what it all might mean including why I think the Indians next name is one you have not heard yet. We talk about the JRAM extension talk and how it is just that talk. We get sad for Cookie Carrasco and will always wish him the best. Then we dig into prospects and I start to change my list in the podcast. The Indians had 2 players graduate and one they lost in the rule 5 from last year since that time they have added 10 players to my personal top 30 showing just how much deeper the system has gotten.

I sit down for another Locked On Crossover with the Rylan from LO Royals and LO Thunder. We have a lot of fun talking about both teams. Including the hottest of baseball rumors that Bobby Witt Jr. will be making the jump from rookie ball to the majors. This is another two parter so make sure to tune in both days to hear an outsiders take on the Indians and their place in the division.

The majority of my writing career has been focused on prospects and the draft. I explain why there are some names missing from my list. My views on certain parts of evaluation, and then dig into who I view the top 15 prospects in the Indians system are from Nolan Jones to Logan Allen with many names in between. If you love prospects this is the show for you. This is just the first half as we will focus on players 16 to 30 in the second half. If one is wondering while there are no players from the Lindor deal mentioned there are three from the Clevinger trade.

Mike Freeman is traded, and we talk about his time in Cleveland and why this trade was needed by the Indians. We dig into why the trade occurred, and even some conspiracy reasons why he might have been traded too. We dig into the 40 man to talk about who are the names to watch who could be released as the team is likely to need to open at least two spots before the season begins. We also dug into the players sent down over the past few days which takes the camp roster down to 44, from the 73 they started with. Make sure to listen tomorrow as I will finally release my own top 30 prospect list for the Indians something people have been asking for a while now.

After over a month of predicting it on the podcast Amed Rosario is being tried in centerfield for the Indians. We talk about why this could be a great fit, and why it could make the Indians much better. We dig into Billy Hamilton and why it should be no surprise he is gone. We dig into the new minor league rules changes ranking what we like and what we hate. Then we have a little more of our talk with Locked On White Sox so listen in and enjoy.

I sit down with Herb and Chris of Locked On White Sox to talk all things central. This is the first of two parts. Now it is my turn to ask them questions all about the White Sox and the Al Central in general. I find out who they think their big competition is for the division and what they think about their teams offseason in general.

I sit down with Herb and Chris of Locked On White Sox to talk all things central. This is the first of two parts. They pepper me with questions about the Indians and I do my best to answer and explain why I thinks will turn out better for the Indians than many other places predict. I talk about the improved lineup and how it is the Indians never seem to run out of arms along with more. Tomorrow I get to ask them all the questions, so tune in for that as well.
