This whole episode is focused on Lake County Captains a team that had a lot of talent go through but not a lot stay. It was a team in flux for almost the entire year, which made it very hard to put together a list of the prospects there who I found the most interesting. A lot of players spent a little bit of time in Lake County and we will talk about all those who stood out to me over the course of a long season.

Focus for todays show is on the Arizona Indians, and also some general talk about player evaluation. We look at the top ten prospects which is a list that is heavy with 2019 draft picks with seven of the ten players on the list from the past year's draft. Arizona was over the course of the year likely the least talented squads in the system highlighted by the struggles of several high picks.

The first half of the show is focused on the AFL. Why it is important? Why it is not important? Who did the Indians send? And lastly, why did they send them? The second half of the show if all about Mahoning Valley, we break down the top ten prospects to play there this year. We go over the roster talking about the players who exceeded expectations and about those who came up short.

We talk up Yandy Diaz, discuss tonight's playoff games, talk about the bad pen for the Dodgers and then end with my last pair of AA interviews one with outfield Alex Call and the other with big lefty Sam Hentges.

There is not much going down with the Indians so we talk about the wild card games. We look at the teams in the playoffs who might make sense as trade partners down the line and look into those teams minors to show why a trade with the Indians might make more sense than free agency or internal promotion.

I get out paper and a pen and go through all 47 players on the Indians roster. Then we talk about free agents, locks, and bubble players as I try and project who will make the cut and who won't when the dust settles on the season. We look back at a funny trade idea from earlier in the year and use it for a metaphor for why the Indians need to recognize their window and strike with 2020 in mind as at the end of 2020 nothing will be the same for the Cleveland Indians.

We have a special guest in this one as a spider joins the podcast, much to my chagrin. We spend the first half of the show talking about my 2020 Mock which draft on 247 sports, then talk about some players who make sense to the Indians. The second half of the show is focused the 40 man and the players who the Indians need to consider adding this offseason.

The theme is the season was a disappointment, but due to player development, it was a great year for the Indians. We talk about the ups and downs. Then wonder aloud by a less 100% Cookie was used in high leverage situations down the stretch. We look at the youth of the team and the several players who took a step forward. Then we end with a fun trade idea with the Mets, which I would love to hear what people think of.

Just like that, the Indians season is over. Aaron Civale picked the wrong time to regress, Daniel Palka, who was hitting under .100 with no extra-base hits and a near 50% strikeout rate, helped beat up the Indians. The White Sox win the season series, and the Indians continue to struggle with bad pitching. The season looks reminiscent of 2004, where the offense died the down stretch and a good chance at the postseason was lost. So sit back grab whatever you use to relax and commiserate over a season lost.

Indians yet again lose to a White Sox starter they should beat. A loss putting them firmly on the outside looking in when it comes to the postseason. The National League is set for the postseason, and while there is still a race in the American League the odds are extremely long for Cleveland.
