Before the game last night Alaa Abdelnaby joined Locke for the on floor program. He had great thoughts on Quin Snyder, the new age bigs in the NBA and a cool moment with Antonio Lang.
The frustrating part of the Jazz struggles is the rest of the West is struggling as well and it is not clear if the Jazz are in position to take advantage of the gaps that are being opened up for the team.

Rodney Hood went crazy over the weekend and it might be a great sign. Locke digs into Hood's career and looks back at similar runs of consistency. Signs are that if Hood can avoid the injuries of last year this might be the player the Jazz can anticipate on a nightly basis.
The Jazz without Rudy Gobert are a completely different team. They have become an offensive team not a defensive team. A dive into the numbers shows how dramatic that is and Locke explains why it is the case. Ricky Rubio might be settling into a more comfortable role and the helps him and the Jazz as well.

Locke re-watched the final 6 minutes of the game and looked at what happened to the Jazz. Youngster Donovan Mitchell showed his inexperience with a few of his decisions, loose balls got away from the Jazz and one or two plays that is hard to decipher.

A bright spot in the midst of the Jazz struggles is the play of Rodney Hood whose play has been much more consistent night in and night out. The question of who is Rodney Hood is still unanswered, but it is probably too early to make any judgement. Locke has an interesting comparison to Gordon Hayward and how he preformed in his opening days as the lead scorer.
What do the Jazz need to accomplish on the upcoming 4 game road trip? Locke zeroes in both offensive and defensively on what the Jazz need to accomplish and what can help them move forward.
Finally, Locke looks at the New York Knicks and the incredible Kristaps Porzingas. Surprisingly, the match-up with Enes Kanter is a big issue for the Jazz. The Knicks have some defensive flaws the Jazz will need to take advantage of tonight if they are going to be succesful.
