Locked On Mets - Daily Podcast On The New York Mets

The New York Mets had a very active day of Black Friday shopping after all, signing veterans Mark Canha and Eduardo Escobar to two-year deals.

Host Ryan Finkelstein breaks down the signings and what it means for the rest of the Mets plans this offseason.

Do these moves take the Mets out of the running for Seiya Suzuki, Starling Marte or Javier Baez, or will the Mets still add a big-ticket free agent to pair with the smaller signings they just made?

Billy Eppler has officially been introduced as the new general manager of the New York Mets, speaking with the media on Friday.

Host Ryan Finkelstein shares his five biggest takeaways from Eppler's press conference and why the Mets might have found the perfect man for this job.

Eppler's past experience as the Angels GM was the perfect learning ground for the difficulty of this job and he seems hungry to take on the challenge. With free agency being vital to the Mets success, Eppler will look to hit the ground running with plenty of resources to spend early and often this offseason.
