The Red Sox avoided a 4th straight loss and got back to .500 with a 6-4 comeback win over the Texas Rangers Wednesday night at Fenway Park.  Alex Bregman broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-out, 2-run single in the bottom of 7th inning and the Red Sox did not trail again.  Bregman went 3-for-4 with a solo Home Run and a Double as well. Wilyer Abreu hit his 2nd solo Home Run of the night in the 8th to make it 6-3.  Aroldis Chapman gave up a solo Home Run to Josh Jung, but got the final out to register his 5th save of the season.

#'s of the NIGHT:  It was the Red Sox 7th comeback win of the season. The Red Sox are now 2-4 vs. the Rangers this season with 1 more game to go in the season series.  Bregman's solo Home Run in the 4th was his 9th of the season and 200th of his career.  Abreu followed with a solo Home Run later in the inning and they were the 1st 2 of the season allowed by Rangers starter, Tyler Mahle.  The Red Sox are now (6-14) on the season in games where their opponent scores 1st.

The Red Sox took one on the chin and lost 6-1 in the series opener against the Texas Rangers Tuesday night at Fenway Park. With Tuesday night's loss, the Red Sox have lost 5 of 6 and are a game below .500 at 18-19. The Red Sox were out hit, 16-6 by the Rangers and were held to 6 hits or less for the 9th time this season.

Giolito At Fenway: Lucas Giolito made his 1st start at Fenway with the Red Sox and he was unable to get out of the 4th Inning. Giolito exited after giving up 5 runs on 7 hits in the frame. The righty allowed 10 hits and 6 earned runs in taking his 1st loss of the season. Giolito kept the ball in the ballpark, and it ended a streak of 8 straight games where the Red Sox starting pitcher gave up at least 1 Home Run.

The Red Sox dropped the series finale, 5-4, to the Minnesota Twins Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park.  The Red Sox lost 2 of 3 to the Twins and have lost 4 of 5 and are .500 (18-18) thru their 1st 36 games. The Red Sox had just 2 hits and 3 base runners from the 4th Inning on.

Crochet Day: The Red Sox handed the ball to Garrett Crochet for the start in the series finale on Sunday. Crochet gave up a Home Run on the 1st pitch of the game to Byron Buxton and did not allow another run over his 5 Innings. Crochet walked the 1st 2 hitters to start the 5th but came back to retire the next 3 hitters and he departed with a 3-1 lead. He ended up with a no-decision.  Crochet walked 2, struck out 6 in making his 5th start this season with the Red Sox coming off a loss in the previous game. Crochet has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 7 of his 8 starts.  With Sunday's loss, the Red Sox dropped to (5-3) in Crochet's 8 starts.

Pen Didn't Get It Done: Garrett Whitlock could not hold the lead coming out of the bullpen on Sunday. Whitlock gave up 2 runs with 2 outs in the 7th Inning. Justin Slaten allowed 2 runs with 2 outs in the 8th to allow the Twins to go in front.

Casas to the IL: Tristan Casas was played on the Injured List on Saturday with a Left patellar tendon rupture. Casas suffered the injury in Friday's series opener when he was running down the 1st-base line in the 2nd Inning.  Casas reached on a fielding error by pitcher Joe Ryan but crumbled to the ground past the 1st-base bag and had to be carted off the field. Abraham Toro was added to the Red Sox 40-man roster on Saturday and promoted from Triple-A Worcester. Toro, 28, signed with the Red Sox organization in January. The switch-hitter has played for the Astros, Mariners, Brewers and Athletics over 6 seasons.

The Red Sox lost 4-3 to the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park on Saturday afternoon. The series is even at 1-1 with the finale coming on Sunday.  The Sox had 2 on in the 9th, but Wilyer Abreu popped up to the leftfielder against closer Jhoan Duran to end the game.  The Red Sox got 2 runs in the 7th after a lengthy rain delay but could not get any closer.  The Red Sox collected 12 hits in the loss and it's the 1st time this season where they lost when collecting 10 or more hits.

Dobbins Got The Nod: Hunter Dobbins was brought back up from Triple-A Worchester to make the start on Saturday. Dobbins went 5.2 Innings and gave up 4 runs (4 ER). Dobbins walked 2, struck out 2 and gave up a 2-run Home Run to Kody Clemens (Roger's son) in the 6th Inning. Dobbins took the loss to fall to 2-1 on the season.

Casas to the IL: Tristan Casas was played on the Injured List on Saturday with a Left patellar tendon rupture. Casas suffered the injury in Friday's series opener when he was running down the 1st-base line in the 2nd Inning.  Casas reached on a fielding error by pitcher Joe Ryan but crumbled to the ground past the 1st-base bag and had to be carted off the field. Abraham Toro was added to the Red Sox 40-man roster on Saturday and promoted from Triple-A Worcester. Toro, 28, signed with the Red Sox organization in January. The switch-hitter has played for the Astros, Mariners, Brewers and Athletics over 6 seasons.

What's On Tap?: The Red Sox and Twins conclude their series at Fenway Sunday afternoon. Garrett Crochet is scheduled to start in the series finale on Sunday. The Red Sox have a scheduled day off on Monday and open up a 3-game series with the Texas Rangers Tuesday night.  The Red Sox opened up the season in Arlington and lost 3 of 4 to the Rangers in March and scored 6 total runs in the 3 losses during that series.
