Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans could take Jeremiyah Love with their first round pick and it would make sense as he brings a lot to the table. Love is a dynamic runner with great versatility that can instantly boost a lackluster offense led by Cam Ward. Love would bring excitement to the fan base, football wise and financially, while continuing a running back legacy the franchise is known for. However, there are concerns with taking Love. First, the financial aspect and draft ramifications of positional value. Running back simply don't bring the value premium positions do and often don't make a big enough impact on bad teams. Additionally, Love is a very good prospect, but is he truly a generational talent the Titans can't afford to pass on? It is fair to be skeptical there.

The Tennessee Titans can go multiple routes in the first round of the NFL Draft, but a trade back and landing Carnell Tate at wide receiver may be the best possible outcome the team could hope for with wide receiver being checked off as a need, but also with multiple Day 2 picks to add to the chest of assets. With that additional pick on Day 2, the Titans can afford to be a bit more risky with their picks which means attacking offensive line issues a year in advance. Adding offensive tackle and guard on Day 2 along with a speed edge is the perfect way to follow up the Tate pick. Finally, on Day 3, the Titans need to add players who can bring quality depth, but still be developed into potential starters down the road or at least, players who can fill a particular role on the team that isn't obviously filled.

The Tennessee Titans have a ton of versatility in their cornerback room currently and it makes roles a little bit cloudy and even more cloudy is what the Titans could do at the position in the NFL Draft. Having the options to go with an inside or outside guy is nice, but it doesn't narrow down the choices that must be examined. At safety, the Titans have their top three guys in Kevin Winston, Amani Hooker and Tony Adams, but with Hooker and Adams not being long-term solutions, adding depth at the spot in a good draft class is absolutely necessary.

The Tennessee Titans are less than a month away from the NFL Draft and that means draft visits are rolling in and some of the top options in the first round have already met with the team or will soon like Jeremiyah Love, Rueben Bain and Carnell Tate. The Titans are also seemingly keeping their eye on some guys who could be options in a trade-down scenario like Makai Lemon, KC Concepcion and Mansoor Delane. The draft is more than just one round though so of course some potential names for the later rounds are coming to Nashville like Zion Young and Treydan Stukes along with some Day 3 offensive linemen. At this time, it is important to remember these visits don't necessarily indicate interest, but a need to gather more information for one reason or another, positive or negative.

The Tennessee Titans could absolutely go with an edge rusher at the top of the draft, but after the trade for Jermaine Johnson, a lot of Titans fans are wondering if that would mean a lack of faith in last year's second rounder Femi Oladejo. While it is not fair to lose faith in Femi, the reality is he did not show enough in 2025 to be considered a three-down player at this time, even if what he does do well will result in him starting most games. The other aspect of this conversation is Jermaine Johnson. Johnson was a smart addition, but fans need a reality check about who he is and the expectations they should have. Jacob Martin was added as well, but people seem to be confused on how he should fit with the defense. Finally, the Titans do have some intriguing depth pieces like Jaylen Harrell, who they can continue to develop.

The Tennessee Titans have plenty of options with their first round pick, but taking linebacker Sonny Styles would be a massive mistake for multiple reasons. If the Titans go with a "non-premium" position, it needs to be Jeremiyah Love. A big factor is that this year's draft has a depth of linebackers who could make sense with a lower pick and the other fact is the Titans linebacker room isn't that bad as things stand. Finally, the interior defensive line is basically set and with a poor group in the draft, the Titans don't need to use a pick to bolster the group until later in the draft or undrafted free agency.

The Tennessee Titans first round pick has been discussed at length, but as the days go by Rueben Bain begins to make a comeback in the heart's of Titans fans and the recent chatter on Bain makes it impossible to ignore his fit with the Titans. When discussing additions in the tranches though it is also impossible to ignore the massive need on the offensive line. Somehow, the Titans O-Line situation has gotten significantly worse this offseason and that makes it an even bigger need as the draft approaches. The Titans may have to consider taking an interior offensive lineman much earlier than originally anticipated, but should also look to add some tackle depth later as well.

The Tennessee Titans could take Jeremiyah Love at the top of the first round and if they do, Tony Pollard will likely be cut, but the fact is the Titans should not make that kind of decision until they know whether they are drafting Love or not. Pollard may lack juice at the position, but he is still a serviceable back who could fill in fine on the last year of his deal. If Love is drafted though, expect Pollard to be cut. Tyjae Spears is also a good back, but it's proven that he cannot be counted on. Kalel Mullings and Julius Chestnut should be looked at as special teams depth at this point. At tight end, with Daniel Bellinger and Kyler Granson added to Gunnar Helm, the Titans likely have what they need at the position. Add in David Martin-Robinson and it seems clear the Titans are going with a heavy approach at that spot and should inform what we expect from the offense.

The Tennessee Titans signed Wan'Dale Robinson and brought back Calvin Ridley so far this offseason, but wide receiver is still a massive need as the reality is this is still one of the worst groups in the NFL. Drafting a wide receiver in the first three rounds is an absolute must for the Titans as they need to keep building out the group. That puts the focus on what already exists and while Ridley and Robinson are good, they aren't more than low to mid number two receivers. Elic Ayomanor and Chim Dike also can take steps forward, but it is hard to see either becoming a true dominant alpha receiver like the Titans need. Backend depth like Xavier Restrepo, Bryce Oliver and Mason Kinsey are also guys who should not be factored in too heavily.
