Reading poetry, pouring one's emotions and love upon each word, is an exhilarating experience.

When a kind scholarly poet soul sends an audio out of the blue reading my poem ("I bet you think about me", that I wrote for Storizen magazine) in his soulful therapeutic voice... It's inexplicable...

These are my Soul's Tiara. Precious gifts, awards, blessings to cherish for life. Deepest gratitude to Jairam Seshadri, for gifting his time, and soulful voice to my humble scribblings. My poem is very very happy, and is now eternal in J's voice. 🙏🏼 :)

Family is not always blood. Sensible responsible use of social media can gift us amazing souls to connect with, as trustworthy friends, sisters, brothers... Art, all forms of genuine art, bridges minds. Connects hearts. Identifies soulmates. One of the few beautiful souls am blessed with, is Deepa. We haven't met in person yet. But we already are meeting often through art. A wonderful friend, go-to shoulder, akka, Sakhi, mentor, and more. She sent one of my close-to-heart songs for my Birthday, in her soothing voice. It was a total surprise, and I cried in joy. Cathartic... The time, and love she gifts for me, is something I would treasure for life, in gratitude. We have stayed quiet for weeks too, without texts or voices notes. Vn is a huge boon. Have exchanged innumerable Vns, many of them mutually go-to notes now. It's not just love, laughter, tears, empathy, but firm tones too. Taking liberty to tell what I need to hear, than what I want to hear. We scold each other, argue, give tight slaps through uninhibited conversations that only have helped us evolve stronger, and better. Nourishing each other's soul. She has given me SO MUCH! (Oh yes, we have spoken over call just less than 10 times only, since we e-met in June 2019). There is honesty, and trust in our bond. Some instant soul-connect. Bonds must organically grow, I agree. But with very few souls, it is conspired by the universe with extra special warmth, truthfulness, and love, that in no time the bond Metamorphoses like a vintage song... Am happy , and proud to receive so much love. I know am lovable, too. :)

Humbling, deeply satisfying moments when someone appreciates and acknowledges our works of art, showering so much love upon our soul... Mrs. Sindhu Priya is one such kind-hearted soul who gifted me honeyed tears, and inexplicable joy through her generous acknowledgements and love...💝 A soul I have met just only once serendipitously, and connected by art, and poetry...

ஓர் மழை பூத்த மாலையில், ப்ரியமான தோழியுடன்/தோழனுடன் நீண்டதூரம் நடந்து சென்ற ஔடத உணர்வளிக்கும்...

சந்திப்புகள் யாவும் ஏதோ ஒன்றைக் கற்றுத்தரும் தான், ஆனால் நிலைப்பதில்லை...

சில சந்திப்புகள், ஓர் அழகான பந்தமாய், நிலைத்திருக்கும் சாத்தியங்களோடு, கலையும் வாழ்வும் வாழும் கலையும் பற்றிய உரையாடல் தளமாய் துளிர்க்கும்... நம்மை இன்னொருவரில் சந்திப்போம்... வியப்போம்...

அரிதாரமற்ற நிஜங்களை, கண்ணீர், புன்னகை, கனவுகள், பிரபஞ்ச விந்தைகள் எதனெதன் மீதெல்லாம் காதல், கலைகளின் ஆழம், வாழ்வின் சாரம், உடையும் தருணங்களும் சில மனிதர்களும் கசப்புகளும் கற்றுத்தரும் பாடம்...

நாம் வீழ்கையில் ஒளியாய் எவரெல்லாம், விலகி ஓடி ஒளிந்தது எவரெல்லாம், கற்ற முதல் பாடமாய் பிறருக்கு தோள் கொடுக்க முனைதல், நம்மை செதுக்கிக் கொள்கையில் உளி ஏற்படுத்தும் வலிகளைப் புரிந்து கொள்ளுதல்...

நஞ்சாக வலம் வருவோரிடமிருந்து விலகி நிற்றல், களையெடுக்க கற்றல்...

அத்தருணங்கள் பூக்கின்ற பொழுதெல்லாம், வாழ்வின் மீது இன்னும் அதிகமாய் காதல் பூக்கிறது...

My poem "Tapestry of Life", is all about the highs and lows of life, and how important it is to acknowledge our broken moments, vulnerabilities, shortcomings, and evolve through every fall, learning from all the lessons the universe teaches us.

Most importantly, written to reiterate we all are meant to blossom in our own time, and let us not compare ourselves to anyone when it comes to 'success' or 'accomplishments'.

Haste is an uncomfortable pace for my soul, :). and I believe in the gently flowing rhythm of journeys.

Let us shoulder each other, be kind and compassionate, and arise from the dust! Meet life with a newborn hope.

நட்போ, காதலோ, ஆணோ, பெண்ணோ,

எந்த உறவானாலும்

அன்பால்

பிரபஞ்சத்தில் நம் இதயத்தின் துகள்கள்

எத்தனைப்பேரிடம் சென்றிருக்கும்...

நாம் பெறும்

ஒரு துளி அன்பில்

கடலளவு ஆனந்தம் கிடைக்குமென எண்ணி

கானல் எத்தனைக் கண்டிருப்போம்...

புதிர் துண்டுகளாய்(puzzle pieces) நம் இதயத்தைப் பலரிடம் கொடுத்து வைப்பதும் உண்டு...

இத்தனையும் எதற்காக?!...

பேரன்பின் அருவியின் கீழ் நிற்க, உள் நனைந்து உதிரமினித்து உயிர் வளி கண்டு வலிகளுக்கு அருமருந்தாகும் அன்பென்றுதானே?!

ஆகிறதா?!... அருமருந்தாகிறதா?!...

எத்தனை ஏமாற்றங்கள், ஏளனங்கள், நம்பிக்கை நீர்த்துப் போகும் நயவஞ்சகங்கள், நம் இருத்தலை இதயத்தை ஒரு பொருட்டாகவே எண்ணாத கர்வத்தில் கனக்கும் கல்நெஞ்சங்கள், காரியவாத பச்சோந்திகள்...

அன்பை மட்டுமே அறிய முனையும் மனங்கள், இத்தனை ரணங்களை எப்படித் தாங்கும்?!...

ஏன் தாங்க வேண்டும்?!

நம் கண்ணீரின் கடலில் நாமே மூழ்காமலிருக்க

துகள்களாய் துண்டுகளாய் சுற்றி,

அன்பிற்காக மண்டியிடும் ஏங்கும் இதயத்தை

இன்றே இப்பொழுதே வீடழைத்து வரவேண்டும்...

முழுதாய்!

முழுதாய் நம்மோடே இருக்கட்டும் நம் இதயம்...

நம்மை விட யார் கொண்டாட இயலும் காதலாகி கசிந்துருகி நம் இதயத்தை?!...

முதல் துளி நம் மீதே இருக்கட்டும் என்றென்றும்...

அன்பாலானது உலகம்

அதில் நாமுமிருக்கிறோம்... நம்மையும் நேசிக்க மறவாதிருப்போம்...

தேய்வழக்காய் நலம் விசாரிப்புகளில் துவங்கி, சிறிது நேர மேலோட்டமான சராசரி உரையாடலுக்குப் பின் விடைபெறும்/அழைப்பைத் துண்டிக்கும் மனிதர்கள் கண்களில், எதிரே இருப்பவர் தேக்கி வைத்திருந்த கனத்த சோகங்கள், மௌனமாய் விம்மிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் வலிகள் எதுவுமே தென்படாதா?! தொலைப்பேசியைத் தாண்டி மனதில், ஓலத்தின் ஓர்த் துளி ஒலிக்காதா?!

"சொன்னா தான தெரியும்"னு எல்லாத்தையும் தட்டிக்கழிச்சுடறது சுலபம்...

"என்ன ஆச்சு? யூ வான்ட் டு டாக்?!"னு கனிவும் வாஞ்சையும் தரக்கூடிய சில வார்த்தைகளுக்காக ஏங்கும் சோர்வடைந்த மனங்கள் எத்தனையோ உலகில்...

பல வருடப் பழக்கம் என்பதெல்லாம், கணக்கு வைத்துக்கொள்ளவா? பெருமைக்காகவா?! சில மாதங்களே ஆயினும், சிறு மாற்றம் குரலில் தென்பட்டாலோ, முகத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியின் சுவடகன்று வாட்டம் குடிகொண்டிருந்தாலோ, சற்று இறுக்கம் தளர்த்த முயலாமல், நாம் எங்கு ஏன் நகருகிறோம்?!

தனிமையும் மௌனமும் ஔடதமாய் அமையும் தான், பல வலிகளுக்கு. இருப்பினும் கேட்பாரற்று வடிந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் கண்ணீரோடும் ஆறாத ரணங்கள் யாரோடும் பகிராத நிலையிலும் நம்மைச் சுற்றி பலர் உள்ளனர்...

செவி சாய்த்தல் போதாது; சற்றே மனம் சாய்த்து பாரங்கள் கரைக்க முயலுவோம். நம்பிக்கையும் நேரமும் பரிசளித்து நிகழும் அரிதாரமற்ற உரையாடல்களால் ஆழமான புரிதல்கள் புலரும்; எந்த உறவிலும் நங்கூரமாய்த் தோள் கொடுக்கும்.

"எப்படி இருக்கீங்க...?!"

"தெரியல..."

ஹ்ம்ம்... பேசனுமா?...

ஆமா... ஆனா...

" சாயந்திரம் சந்திக்கலாமா..."

தேநீர்த் தருணங்கள்...

ஒரு கோப்பை தேநீரோடு என்னவெல்லாம் செய்ய இயலும்?!...

மழையோடு, நினைவுகளை சந்திக்கலாம், நிகழ்கால கணங்களில் வாழ்வை சுகித்து கரையலாம், ப்ரிய தோழியோ தோழனோ வருகையில் சில சிட்டிகை சந்தோஷங்கள் தூவி உரையாடல்களை ருசிக்கலாம்...

இசையில் தொலைந்து மௌனத்தில் மீண்டெழலாம்...

கண்ணீரின் கனம் சற்றே குறைவதை உணரலாம்... நாளைகளை வரவேற்க மனதை தயார்ப்படுத்தலாம்...

இன்னும் எத்தனையோ ஏலம் கமழும் தேநீர்த் தருணங்களில் நம் உள், போதையுணரலாம்...

ஒரு புறம் மனம் கொண்டாடி மகிழ,

சுகிக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு துளியின் பின்னும் பல்லாயிர உழைக்கும் கரங்கள் நமக்கான இன்பங்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்துப் பறித்து பதப்படுத்துகின்றன...

பச்சைப் பசேலென மரகத விரிப்பாய் தேயிலைத் தோட்டங்கள்... குளிர்பனி பூத்திருக்கும் ஏகாந்த சூழல்... நீலகிரித் தைல வாசமதை மென் காற்றின் விரல்கள் மனதை நிறைத்துச் செல்லும்...

இயற்கை மீது தீராக் காதல் கொண்டு தோட்டத்தில் வலம் வர, சூரியப் பொன்னொளியில் இலைகளெல்லாம் மினுமினுக்க, அதைவிட அதிகமாய் பளிச்சிடும் புன்னகை ஏந்திய அன்பு பூத்த முகங்கள் அங்கங்கே தென்பட்டன.

கனமான கத்திரிக்கோல்களும், சாக்குப் பைகளையும் ஏந்தி, அட்டைப் பூச்சிகள், சிறுத்தை, காட்டெருமை, கரடி என விலங்குகளின் தாக்குதல் சாத்தியமுள்ள சூழலில் உழைத்து, வறுமையும் நாளை பற்றிய கவலைகளும் சுமந்த மனதை வெளிக்காட்டாத கண்களும் கொண்டு நாம் தினமும் ருசிக்கும் தேநீருக்கு காரணங்களாகின்றனர்.

ஆசையாக பேசுகையில், அம்மாடி அவ்வளவு வாஞ்சை அவர்களிடம். புகைப்படம் எடுக்கையில், பரவசமும் வெட்கம் பூப்பதும் கொள்ளை அழகு.

சில நிமிடங்கள் கையிலேந்தவே பாரமாய் உள்ளது கத்திரிக்கோல். வருடங்களாக தினமும் பாரம் சுமக்கும் கைகள் அனைத்தும் காப்பு காய்ச்சி இருக்கின்றன...

நன்றியோடு அவர்கள் உள்ளங்கைகளில் முத்தம் வைத்தால், சற்று இதம் தருமா அவர்கள் மனதிற்கு?

என்றாவது ஒரு நாள், சற்று இளைப்பாறச் சொல்லி நாம் யாரேனும் அவர்களுக்கு தேநீர் பரிமாறியிருப்போமா?!

தேநீரைப் போலத்தான், நாம் சுகமாய் நுகரும் பலவித வளங்களும், தருணங்களும்... நம் மகிழ்ச்சியின் பின், எத்தனையோ முகம் தெரியா உயிர்களின் உழைப்பு விதைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.

நன்றி மறவாதிருப்போம்... மனிதம் விதைப்போம்...

ஒரு கோப்பை தேநீரோடு, வாழ்வை புரிந்து கொள்ள முயலலாம்...

Contemplations based on Film Director Halitha Shameem's lyrical short film. I personally felt, this film is very much relatable for friendships too. Friendships that were just born, but stopped growing after the tender sprouts, and those that have been evolving beautifully for years but suddenly uprooted in an unexpected storm.

"Hysterical'aa எதுவும் behave பண்ணாத! முக்கியமா என்ன தேடி வராத!" - Ouch! How easy it is to say, but how deeply wounded the soul would be when everything had crumbled.

It indeed is painful than death, to know that someone had chosen to get rid of us.

"நாம வேணாம்'னு விருப்பப்பட்டு கேக்கறாங்க!" - a line that just tears the soul apart.

Cleaning task to cleanse the footprints and stains from memory, the absence of messages one wakes up to/often receives, the shadow that reaches her first, revealing his presence, நவாப்பழம் moments, shirt that screens memories, black coffee கசப்பு, play lists, 3 days left for recently deleted folder...

Loved the composition frame by frame, but the heart-stealing blue when she recollects a Birthday... That's visual poetry.

The best part is, the healing process...

To break down many a times, but bounce back. The wounds becoming scars. New skin. New wings. "இயற்கை சொல்ற Good morning". கசப்பான நினைவுகள் வந்து மோதாத, நவாப்பழம் ருசித்தல்... So much more...

"பல்லாயிரம் முறை உடஞ்ச பிறகு நான் சொல்றேன் - I break up!".

படிக்கும் போது கண்ல தண்ணி. மனசுல ஒரே கேள்வி நிக்குது...

கடேய்சியில ஒடஞ்சது அன்பு தான?! ஒடச்சு போடவா அன்பு?!

Sigh!

வாஞ்சையோட கட்டியணச்சு மனச தூங்க வெக்க தெரிஞ்ச அதே அன்பு தான், முள் கம்பியால கழுத்த நெறிச்சு பதறவும் வெக்கும்...

சில சமயம், நாம செலுத்தற அன்பு கூட, சில பேற suffocate பண்ணும். நாம possesive'aa இருக்கோம். ரொம்ப emotional'aa இருக்கோம்'னு தோண வெக்கும்‌. ஆனா இங்க தான் எனக்கு வியப்பா இருக்கு. "அளவுக்கதிகமான" அன்பா?

அன்புல, எது அளவு, எது அதிகம்? அளவற்றது தான அன்பு?!...

இத யோசிக்கும் போது கிடச்ச பதில், எப்பயோ படிச்சது ஞாபகத்துக்கு வந்துச்சு. "You must love in such a way that the person you love feels free". So true!

When it comes to love, in any bond, each day we learn something, we also learn that we need to unlearn certain things, to nurture the bond and evolve together beautifully.

காதல் மாதிரியே, ஏதோ சில காரணங்களால, புரிதல் ஆழமா ஏற்படாம, உலகத்துல பல நல்ல நட்புகளும் உடஞ்சிருக்கு/உடையற தருவாயில இருக்கு. சில மன்னிக்க முடியாத வலிகள ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கலாம்... ஆனா, நெனச்சு பாத்து, நாளெல்லாம் சந்தோஷப்படற எத்தனையோ தருணங்கள் அந்த அழகான உறவுகள்'ல இருந்திருக்கும். அப்படி நெனச்சு பாத்து மன்னிக்க காரணங்கள் ஏதுமில்லாட்டி கூட, அன்பு தான எல்லாத்துக்கும் காரணம்?! வலி, வளி, வழி... எல்லாமா அன்பு இருக்கு...

இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் மனசு எளகினா, சில உறவுகள மறுபடி துளிர்க்க செய்யலாம்... நாமளும் சில மன்னிக்க இயலா வலிகள யாருக்காவது எப்பயாவது நிச்சயம் குடுத்திருப்போம். நமக்கு கெடைக்காத மன்னிப்ப, நாம குடுத்து தான் பாப்போமே... But definitely not at the cost of our self-respect. Not allowing us/our emotions to be taken for granted, or allowing ourselves to be used as a doormat, when someone keeps repeating their mistakes very well knowing it would hurt.

Well, breakups... Not easy at all. Breaking down several times indeed!

It is excruciating pain, every single time. I would request people, to be more kind and empathetic towards those souls(irrespective of gender) who go through a breakup, shoulder them, and make earnest efforts to bring them back to normal. Accept, and embrace when they breakdown, wail, scream... They need a vent. A trustworthy shoulder to lean on. Someone with a non-judgmental heart who could listen to their tears, confusions, fears, and silences too...

Let the broken souls gently heal, with sunshine in their hearts for brand new dawns to land in love, again...
