The ancient Vedic sages of India understood something about sound that modern science is only now beginning to confirm: sound is the foundation of all creation. The Vedas describe the universe itself as having emerged from a primordial sound, AUM — a vibration so vast, so all-encompassing, that its echo continues to resonate through every particle of matter in existence.

The word “mantra” comes from two Sanskrit roots: “manas,” meaning mind, and “trai,” meaning to protect or to free. A mantra is literally a tool to free the mind. A vehicle of liberation. Mantras are designed around the vibrational properties of sound itself — the specific frequencies produced by certain combinations of phonemes in the human vocal apparatus. You are literally sculpting reality with vibration.
