Interest rates are rising and everybody wants to know, what does that mean for your real estate portfolio? Should you be buying? Should you slow down? Are interest rates going to keep rising? And what does that do to real estate valuations, particularly in the multifamily space? To answer that, Andrew Westling joins us on this week's episode.
Andrew Westling, Director of Capital Markets at Walker & Dunlop, is responsible for new loan originations and closings for multifamily and commercial properties nationwide. Throughout his career, he has underwritten and closed more than $1.5 Billion in debt and equity financing for multifamily, industrial, retail, office, hotel, manufactured housing, and self-storage properties across the country. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop in 2016, he served as a Director for the George Elkins Mortgage Banking Company (GEMB) originating, underwriting, and closing commercial real estate loan transactions. Preceding GEMB, Andrew served as a Vice President for the Private Bank at Union Bank.
