You 3.0 – Breaking Free from the Illusion of Comfort - Spotting and Capturing Windows of Opportunity

There are moments in life when the atmosphere shifts—when a diagnosis, a breakup, a failure, or even a quiet reflection stares you down with a choice: stay the same or step into something radically new. I call these moments windows of opportunity—temporary portals that invite you to rise into a version of yourself you’ve never met before.

In this episode, I share what I’ve learned about spotting these windows, what it takes to move through them before they close, and why You 3.0 is not just an upgrade—it’s a rebirth. Drawing on my own health journey and the wisdom of mentors like Dr. Pat Gentempo, I unpack the three phases of seizing a window:

The Spark of Opportunity – when motivation feels high and the timing seems perfect (but won’t last).

The Crux of Commitment – the struggle point where most quit, but where transformation truly begins.

Integration – the moment extraordinary habits fuse into identity, and the new you becomes non-negotiable.

Along the way, we’ll expose the “Little Liar” that whispers excuses, explore why comfort is the most seductive trap, and reflect on what it really takes to push past survival mode (You 1.0) and even beyond the illusion of “good enough” (You 2.0).

Because You 3.0 isn’t a goal. It’s a place you’ve never been—a new identity forged in decision, follow-through, and the courage to step through the window before it shuts.

Most of us go through life tuned into the station we were told to listen to—the one filled with survival, proving, and noise. But all along, another signal has been broadcasting, waiting for us to notice.

I call it the Omen Frequency.

It’s the hidden channel of life that speaks through synchronicities—those so-called coincidences, repeating numbers, chance encounters, or inner nudges. But here’s the key: synchronicities are just the signs. Omens are what happens when you interpret those signs as meaningful, when you realize they’re guiding you.

For me, that realization came in the Amazon jungle with plant medicine, when I suddenly saw that what looked like chaos was actually choreography. Life was always speaking—I had just been tuned to the wrong channel.

The work now is integration. Learning to stay tuned to that frequency in daily life, with tools like meditation, breathwork, and the Interface Response System.

So here’s my invitation: this week, notice the synchronicities. Ask yourself, what if this isn’t random? What omen might it be pointing me toward?

Sometimes, life writes love stories so unexpected, you couldn’t make them up if you tried. Today’s guests, Jennie and Bryan Drollinger, know precisely what it means to become lost and then, against all odds, be found. 

Years ago, Bryan and Jennie were young, in love, and full of possibility. But like so many couples, life had other plans. At a time where dating was limited to in person communication and catching someone at the right time on a land line, a few simple misses turned into misunderstandings. Bryan followed his path as a devout Mormon, got married, raised a family of seven, and built a successful career. Jenny married and settled into a marriage that blessed her with two beautiful children, yet there was an absence of that loving feeling she once dreamed of. Life brought challenges for both of them, including failed expectations, and the deep struggle of holding it all together, especially when marriage is intertwined with faith, community, and awareness that their lives were being spent more on the worst side, for better or worse..

Then came the unthinkable. Bryan’s marriage ended, leaving him in one of the most challenging spaces of his life, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Simultaneously, as fate would have it, Jenny’s marriage was ending as well, facing her own heartbreaks and growing pains.

And then, the universe intervened. A random reconnection occurred when Bryan, needing an attorney, found himself seeking a consultation with the firm's paralegal. Her name? Jenny.. Sparks fared, and a realization that both of their winding, messy, painful roads had prepared them for this: a second chance at the love they once shared.

Now, through their new podcast A Second Chance on Love, and upcoming book made for a movie, Bryan and Jennie are opening up about their journey, their lessons, and their hope for anyone who’s wondering if it’s too late to rewrite their love story.

It's almost comical to recognize that in the Makes Sense Ecosystem, our cornerstone system that helps people reclaim control of their reality and learn to think for themselves in a world that is thinking for us, we inappropriately call the IRS: Interface Response System. 

But when it comes to taxes, the relationship most people have with the other IRS is… complicated. We dread it. We avoid it. We joke about it. But rarely do we understand it.
