(12/13/23) Markets are making new highs for this year but have not generated "record highs." Yet. All it would take is about another 150-points...don't see that happening today. Markets are still trying to recover all that was lost during 2022. Markets are very over bought at this point; but is the market unstoppable? Markets have to breathe; and historically, every time markets have been over bought, there has been some kind of correction. In a bull market those corrections are shorter, but in a bear market they're protracted. In a bull market they're not as deep: 3-5% vs 5-10% in a bear market. Investors may be tempted to jump now because it seems the market is unstoppable. It is, indeed, stoppable. Patience is the watch word at this point; let the markets come back to you.
